Extraordinary unusual cottage sitting beside Castlehaven strand on an elevated level looking towards Castletownshend, islands off Castlehaven and Reen Point. Elegant seaside decoration in a blissfully quiet romantic spot while in the middle of West Corks beautiful scenery and local food. A short walk to the historic village with 3 Harry Clarke windows in the church above the Castle/harbour. Drombeg Stone Circle, Lough Hind are a short drive away or simply enjoy the beautiful peace and quiet

The space
Escape from all this - Secluded, tranquil cottage in a sheltered position next to Castlehaven beach which has been totally rebuilt from a historic ruin! Modern comfort, warm and yet old fashioned charm next to the Bay with fishing boats yachts and kayaks visiting this well known destination of West Cork. The sailing here from spring is beautiful to watch. Immediate access onto the beach or other coves on the Drishane Estate and a further variety of beaches a very short walk or drive away
We have 3 holiday cottages that are linked by a track and above Castlehaven strand /Beach. All cottages have cotton bedlinen and towels

Walking distance to KnockDrum and the village with Mary-Anns Pub very well know wonderful food open year round (except from about January 8th) Glandore and Union Hall have some great places to eat too (10km away) and year round
The 3 beaches are all totally different - Peebles, shingle and yellow sand are only 5 minutes apart. Castletownshend has its own charming beach and 2 quays as well as all the historic charm and totally unique old Georgian houses descending down the Main Street to the harbour and castle with the church above the harbour
