The space

Have you ever been in a Dome? 20 foot diameter structure with Tropical Vinyl Canvas that protects from the elements. Very cool for the adventurous type that enjoys the path less traveled. Private deck where you can enjoy your meals. Much like a "Glamping" adventure.

Guest access

When you stay in the dome you will have your privacy and a relaxing space to come home to after exploring the island.

Interaction with guests

Interaction with Host is individual to each guest, the dome is your personal get away, and although the hosts live on property, we will honor your privacy. If you need suggestions or a host to go adventuring we are open to that too!

The neighborhood

We are located a solid 1 mile walking distance to beginning of Kapa'a town, and awesome Kealia Beach. The roads are not super pedestrian friendly and we live on a hill. If you are hungry Kapa'a has some of the best restaurants on island. The dome is nestled in a valley that although close to town feels hidden from the world.

Getting around

The county bus has a stop close to the address, possible airport pick up and drop off too! Many people hitchhike around the island successfully. The county bus will pick you up most places if you call ahead : (phone number hidden)

Other things to note

Although the Dome is enclosed, the rain and Roosters, neighbors dogs get loud. Recommended to bring earplugs or a good playlist for the ion music box. Kauai also has mosquitoes year round. I recommend bringing a bug repellent of your choice :) Also Sunrise is around 7:00am (eye pillow recommended for late sleepers) and the dome is East facing therefore the mornings are better spent on the deck. The Dome is adjacent to a new neighborhood. Of course theres not much we can do about them and their dogs, I've tried sonar alarm for barking, and am open to suggestions. Overall the dome is in a natural setting recommended for those who enjoy a path less traveled.

Being a host with Airbnb is a new adventure that allows us to share a creative project with people who are looking for and edge in the circle. We are pretty mellow folks and our kids are sweeties.
