Where you’ll be

Sangala, Toraja, South Sulawesi, Indonesia

The location of Ghitari Lodge is in South Sanga'la District. It is about 12 km from Makale. This area is well-known by its hot water springs. The one that is quite famous among tourists, which is just next door of Ghitari Lodge, is called Makula Hot Water Spring. There are 3 sources of water in Makula Hot Water Spring. All of them come from Toraja Mountains. The water comes out naturally and the temperature is about 44 degree of Celsius. It is said the water comes from the magma inside Kaero Hill. The heat affects the water, so it becomes warm on the surface. Today, Makula Hot Water Spring becomes more popular both among the locals and foreigners. It says that it helps you replenish your stamina, so you can continue your trip better.
