Our village Gorno pole (means High Field) is located in a beautiful landscape of the Eastern Rhodopes - a magical and hospitable mountain. Around here you can observe rare and endangered animals like vultures, eagles and even wolves. Long time ago we fell in love with this area and in 2012 we bought the house and came to live here starting from scratch. Find out more on our blog Happy Rhodopes.

The space
The house with a big garden is located at the periphery of the village and offer stunning view of pure unspoiled nature, spanning up to distant ridges marking the country boundary with Greece. Diverse landscape, swarming with life is created by mixture of grasslands, shrubs, forest and rocks. In the distance huge volcanic cliffs give shelter to breeding colony of Griffon Vultures, Black Storks, Peregrine Falcons, Golden Eagles and flocks of Alpine Swifts, just to name a few. With 20 breeding species of raptors, the wider region (up to 40 km radius) is the ultimate paradise for birds of prey, not only in the country, but in the whole Balkans. In February and early March evenings, you can hear wolves howling, right from your room window. Oh yes, and we have huge and extremely beautiful fig tree, right in front of the house - come in August for a fig feast :)
