The space

This listing is for private guest room and private guest bath on the 2nd floor of an owner-occupied townhouse in the heart of mid-town Baltimore City in the historic Bolton Hill neighborhood. Spacious and airy unit room gets great natural light and is very quiet.

As a fellow traveler, I have brought home ideas from hotels around the world- including high thread count linens and towels, slipper, robes, hair dryer, iron and anything you might need but forgot (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) The bedroom sleeps 2 people.

Guests who stay for more than 2 days are welcome to use the kitchen and living room on the first floor. The owner lives on first and second floors and has two very friendly cats who roam the entire house freely and like to greet guests. Unit is accessed from front door- and up two short sets of steps.

Central air/heat and ceiling fans keeps the unit cold in the summer and toasty warm in the winter. Fresh towels and high thread count linens are provided. Flexible check in/check out time may be available by prior arrangement.

Access the apartment through a modern, beautifully furnished townhouse located in gated, tree-lined courtyard. The sound of the fountain in front will make you forget that you're minutes from downtown Baltimore.

The house is the perfect location for quick access to an Orioles or Raven's game, the new Horseshoe Casino, Inner Harbor, Hopkins, MICA, U of Baltimore, U of MD Grad schools, Penn Station or a show/concert/play at any of the city's many venues. Everything you need is provided, just bring your toothbrush! (though we have a spare if you forget yours)

Furnished with a queen bed, and large wardrobe, there is plenty of space to unpack.

There is a small fridge, and coffee maker for guests to use in the morning.
Snacks, coffee and tea are provided.

The tiled bathroom offers a shower/tub compb and massaging shower head. Fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided. Hair dryer, iron and board and pack and play/crib are available. Forget something else? Just ask. We've likely got you covered!

When booking the basement unit, you get more than just a place to sleep. All guests are welcome to enjoy the beautiful outside grounds, including all the courtyards and walking paths with beautiful fountains, trees and flowers. It's like a secret garden in the middle of the city.

Guest access

Guests who stay for more than 2 days are welcome to use the kitchen and living room on the first floor, and the backyard.

Interaction with guests

The host or a friend will be home to greet guests arrival and show you around, answer any questions and get you situated. This is an owner-occupied property so hosts will available as needed. Friends say I am the Host-ess with the Most-ess. I have never met a stranger. For almost 20 years, whenever friends, family, or friends of friends came to Baltimore- they would stay with me. So hosting Airbnb guests in my home was a natural extension. My goal is always to ensure the best stay possible for my guests. But most arrive as guests and leave as friends. And some feel more like family than guests.

Here in my home in Bolton Hill, I have hosted short term guests for the last 5 years. But I can't do it all myself. My brother David and my friend Aaron help me as co-hosts. And if you stay long enough, you will meet our amazing cleaning crew led by Blanca and her sister! And if you stay at our Bolton Hill location, you'll meet our two feline hosts-- Alfie and Sebastian.

Being an Airbnb host has been such an amazing experience... that when budget cuts resulted in layoffs earlier this year, I felt like it was a sign. They say if you do what you love, you'll never work another day in your life. Some days I am still amazed that I get paid to do this. And this summer, I partnered with my brother to make his home our third Airbnb location this summer!

After many years of experiencing hospitality around the world, I have brought home some of the best ideas from other amazing hosts and hotels to share with my guests. But if there is anything I've missed, please let me know. I am always happy to improve upon the guest experience!

I am slowly exploring the globe, one corner at a time and love that AirBNB lets me do that! When I can't travel, getting to meet people from other countries and learn about their world from the comfort of my own home is pretty great. Learning about their lives, food and culture-- and sharing mine is what makes the AirBNB experience so unique.

I love the sights, tastes and sounds of Charm City and welcome the opportunity to share some of my fave things with you! Need some restaurant or entertainment suggestions? I'm your girl!

After almost 20 years working in politics, government and non profit work, I left my day job to manage my rental properties full time. I still consult with non-profit and government agencies doing communications and community and government relations. I also volunteer with and support a few different animal rescue groups and shelters/transitional housing for people who need a little help to get their lives together.

Both my kitties - Alfie and Sebastian- were rescued strays. AirBNB helps me support the great work done by some amazing, dedicated people. My love for gardening and flowers can be seen in the beautiful courtyard I share with my neighbors and private backyard. I am a member of several neighborhood associations and am the co-president of the Bolton Hill Garden Club which works very hard to raise money to help beautify the neighborhood. As you wander through this beautiful neighborhood of Bolton Hill, you may see signs from the Garden Club on some of our beautification efforts.

If you are ever interested in joining me on a volunteer effort while here in town, let me know. In all things, my motto has always been, the more the merrier!

David works as an attorney for the Federal Government and is a graduate of U of Maryland Law School. He has been a resident of Federal Hill since 2010 and now lives around the corner in Otterbein.

Aaron is a retired 25 veteran of the Baltimore City Police Department. He currently directs the security operations of the Baltimore City Public Markets and is a life-long resident of Baltimore City. He is big football fan, music lover and foodie.
