Our home is located within the Waitakere Ranges. Your living area is 60 m2. We do not include breakfast. Auckland CBD by car 23 km, to train and bus station 2.3 km, Airport 32 km. Our place is good for anyone who want to explore the area, walking trails, MTB, surfing, horse riding or just wants to relax and rest. Trust stadium 10 min drive. Go by train to Auckland centre. No driving stress and save $$ on parking fees. Our guests are loving this option. Also no added costs like cleaning fees.

The space
Suite attached to the main home with our internal garage in between on a 3600m2 section. The area itself consists of a big bedroom with 2 single beds connected as one. On request can be separated. Kitchenette with all amenities including nespresso coffee machine, dining area, bathroom with spa bath for 2. The spa bath is well appreciated by visitors. A sitting area with flat screen tv and bluetooth mini stereo to use for your own music on your phone or internet radio app. Heat pump. Fully insulated, damp free private unit. Very quiet at night time. You also have a part of the garden with seating available to you where you can enjoy the view. The native birds will "talk" to you.

We live in a quiet semi rural area in a non exit street. It is within the borders of the Waitakere Ranges reserve which is extremely popular. The nights are very quiet. However, we have the morepork (native owl) who "talks" a lot with the other owls in the neighbourhood. There are a total of 360 km bush tracks. A car is a necessity unless you want to use the unit to chill out after a busy work week and don't mind to walk to the bus/train station. Also, Waitakere Ranges is an undervalued area for e-bikes. You can complete very scenic rides.

My wife Lia and I are both retired nurses. We like to travel the world when we can. We also travel a lot in our motor-home up and down NZ, so we have a lot of knowledge traveling NZ. Our aim is to provide good and affordable accommodation.

We are able to give you advice about most of New Zealand. We also can assist in dropping you off at bus and train station 2.4 km away. Information magazines, books and many pamphlets about NZ are available next to the front door of the unit. When you are planning a tramp in the area we could drop you off at point A and pick you up at point B so you don't need to walk back. This need to be pre arranged with us.
