We are set in the heart of our small village surrounded by vines & fields of sunflowers. Myosotis is a charming, cosy one bedroom gîte with exposed timbers in the ground floor living area with adjacent fullly fitted kitchen. At first floor level is the bedroom with an exposed stone wall and en suite bathroom. There is a private terrace outside and a communal garden with a swing and slide combo, games and our large heated salt water swimming pool, open mid May to mid Sept.

The space
We have created a small complex of four fully furnished, self contained and self catering gîtes. All of our gîtes and our facilities have been classified as 3 star Meublé de Tourisme. We have the ability to accommodate 21 people. All of our properties are fully insulated and have electric radiators in all rooms. Myosotis is a one bedroomed gite (double bed). It has exposed timberwork at ground fl;oor level and an exposed stone wall in the bedroom. It has a lovely warm cosy feel and plenty of character.
This gîte was originally within the vigneron's (wine grower) family home. There is a private terrace to the side of the gîte with a dining table, chairs and BBQ.
Our properties are child friendly you can reserve, at no cost at the time of booking, a travel cot (no linen provided), stair-gate, high chair, bedroom night-light, baby bath or potty.
Further information is available on our website: http://www.lesgitesduvigneron.com/Welcome.htm

We also have a large covered and secure toddler's play area in the garden with a ball tent, swing, slide, colouring desk etc. We also have a magnificent Grande Salle (function room). This former Chai (wine storage barn) measures approximately 88m2 and is an adaptable space. It can be hired for a multitude of events such as receptions, exhibitions, exercise classes etc. We can arrange catering for large parties. It can also be used for small business meetings, seminars or conferences with additional indoor and outdoor breakout areas. We have a 2.1 x 1.3m mobile whiteboard with integrated projector. In 2011 my wife, Vanessa, and I decided it was time for a change of life style. Time for a bit of "me / us" time since our two daughters had finished university and left home to build their own lives. Our plan was to create a language school (Papillon Ecole de langue), gîte complex and chambre d'hôte which we could run and manage at our own pace longer into our dotage! In 2013 we bought our beautiful home in France. We took early retirement, me from my work as a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Loss Adjuster, and Vanessa, as a teacher of French at a prestigious girls school, to pursue our dream. The renovation of the gîtes and school took two years to complete but we are hugely pleased with the outcome. My hobbies are Scuba diving and (Field) hockey. Unfortunately hockey sur gazon has not reached the Charente Maritime so, after 50 seasons, I hung up my sticks! Vanessa loves playing social tennis, when her body permits, dancing and enthusing over the French language. Over the years we have travelled fairly widely on holidays and for diving (!) and we look forward to travelling again once our businesses are established. We truly believe that we have created a fantastic holiday destination. We look forward to welcoming you to share and investigate our beautiful area of France. We are 20 - 25 minutes from Cognac, the Roman town of Saintes, the renown Thermes (health cure and spa) in Jonzac, 40 minutes from the coast and about an hour from Bordeaux and La Rochelle.
