Dan's cottage provided everything that the three of us needed for our weekend stay. We enjoyed a walk on the nearby beach, and were able to explore the city of Belfast, which is charming and artsy. If we'd had more time we would have checked out more restaurants, galleries, and shops. There was a great food co-op in town where we picked up meals and snacks for cozy dinners and board games at the cottage. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, and it was about a one hour drive to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time while we were in Maine.

This was our second time staying here, and it already feels like "ours" - and we love how it feels that way for so many others! Just take a look in the guest book and it is clear that this place is special for many. The cabin was just how we remembered it and just what we needed: cozy, peaceful, charming. The hosts put so much extra thought and personal touches, like the local and homemade goods left in the fridge. We love it here.

We have stayed at this location before and loved it. The second time was just as amazing. Such a cute relaxing cottage with everything you need. The home was a great place to unwind and relax. The special touches and cleanliness is top notch. Highly recommend this place. We will be back again for sure !!

Kurt and Jackiee were incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved staying at their cozy little cottage that had great views of the nearby lake! Would recommend to others looking to stay in a more secluded area that is still a good distance from Acadia National Park.

This place exceeded our expectations. Listing photos don’t do it justice. Whole back of the house, from end to end, is windows looking out at that fantastic view, and the open space (kitchen, dining, living room all in one) made it feel airy and spacious, despite its small size. It manages to combine an old-world quaintness and hominess, reminiscent of centuries past cabins, with modern amenities (updated bathroom, great kitchen sink, fully functioning windows with great screens and shades). Nice ceiling fans in the living room and a bedroom, additional fans available (not listed in the amenities)- we were quite comfortable, despite no AC. Labeled light switches were great.Glad we brought a camp table- allowed us to eat on the deck. Not much outdoor furniture provided. Table and umbrella would be nice. Grill was not functioning and didn’t get fixed while we were there. Not as quiet as hoped, noise from road a bit distracting. Swimming at high tide was fantastic. Nature watching joy!

An adorable traditional cottage in a quiet setting in a dreamy part of the MidCoast. Only a few blocks from a fabulous general store and an easy, beautiful 15-minute drive to Camden. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, super quaint, comfortable and close to everything.

This property was awesome we were all very happy with the location, amenities, price and host. Hillary was polite and very helpful. This trip almost didn’t happen as our previous reservation was canceled 12 hours before check in from a different host. Luckily Hillary saved the week with her quick response time and answering questions about sleeping situations etc. would stay here again in a heart beat highly recommend!

We had a great long weekend at The Hideaway! The house was clean and very comfortable for 5 adults. There is a fire pit in the backyard, but plan ahead for firewood as the closest market does not sell it (we found some at Zach's Country Store in Brunswick). It's a great location with beautiful views and great restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is lovely and, if it’s not new, it sure feels that way. In a very quiet area with tons of outdoor space yet just a mile or two from more main roads. Had a lovely white Christmas/Hanukkah with fresh snow on the 24th. Diana was a great host, always answering questions promptly and rolling with some last minute travel issues. Would love to stay here in warmer months to take advantage of the outdoors and the lovely sun porch.

My kids and I had an amazing time during our Labor Day weekend stay. The neighbors were so friendly and nice. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. A market nearby for quick things. Beautiful area, access to water was great. We even got to enjoy the Harmony Free Fair and fireworks! Great weekend thank you!

The house is thoughtfully designed with cozy, stylish touches and had everything we needed — from a well-stocked kitchen to comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out. It was sparkling clean and clearly well taken care of. The neighborhood is peaceful and charming. It felt like a true home away from home, and we appreciated how family-friendly it was — even our kids felt instantly at ease. We made so many great memories here. It’s the kind of place that invites you to relax, connect, and enjoy the little moments. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming space to stay. We’d love to come back!

My husband and I spent our babymoon at Jennifer’s place, and waking up to the stunning lake view each day was just what I needed to unwind. I asked Jennifer if there was cooking oil available, and her mom kindly brought us a bottle of olive oil before our arrival—such a thoughtful gesture! We will definitely stay here again if we're ever in the area.

The home was very welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5. The views were spectacular at sunrise, sunset and during the snowstorm. Bald Eagles and hawks would land in the trees right in front of the house. Also, there was a skating pond down the street my family love to visit almost each evening. There was an alarm going off as soon as we arrived, Debbi was incredibly fast responding and sending someone to check it out clear it up. On the plus someone came and plowed the driveway after the snowstorm it was great. She left a basket of local food and my family ate it up. We are so thankful for our relaxing week and would love to return.

Our group of 5 adults were so pleased we chose to stay at Jason’s house in Old Orchard Beach. We first looked at places in Portland, but Jason’s spacious house offered a quieter setting, with parking and more amenities, at a better price. Comfortable beds, immaculate throughout. Very thoughtfully appointed, with nightstands on both sides of the beds, and superior blackout blinds in the bedrooms. And we ended up spending less time in Old Port, because we enjoyed exploring the towns south of Portland: Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Biddeford, and we found good restaurants (including Holy Donuts!) nearby. We had no issues: we contacted Jason to confirmed our arrival/departure and he responded within minutes. We highly recommend!
