At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

Such a lovely place. The building itself is brand new. So, everything is clean and new. David and Yadder are super caring hosts. The location is great, everywhere is in walking distance. Shared kitchen is very very clean and tidy. Thanks a lot.

Beautiful hostel. Included breakfast was great, not very busy when we visited so we had the pool to ourselves.

I was able to meditate with Carlos one night at their gorgeous meditation room. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrived. Gem 💎 place and location. Very easy to get into the hussling street of Santander 5q for tuk tuk. Excellent, excellent, excellent! I was able to rest really well here. The garden is gorgeous also! Thank you both!
