Both Marvin and Roseanna were perfect hosts. They went above and beyond. Place was extremely comfortable. All amenities you would need were there. Easy to find and close to Hwy. plenty of room if you have children. Plenty of room inside for eight. Everything extremely nice. Felt at home.

This was a really great place to stay for peace and quite with beautiful countryside surroundings. Very clean and comfortable. Everything regarding kitchen and bathroom needs well supplied (plenty of pots, pans, dishes, spices, oil, towels, etc). The deck with string lighting and hot tub was a really great added bonus. The hosts even thoughtfully had a gift waiting for upon arrival after a major life event.

The Cozy Cottage

This was a great place! If I could I would come back and stay more than one night. The only things I would mention are that the switch in the kitchen that you think is a light switch is the garbage disposal, so watch out haha, and if you are staying a Saturday night be aware that none of the restaurants in town will be open for breakfast Sunday morning (but that's not Verlin and Shannon's fault). The place is clean, welcoming and peaceful. There were helpful instructions everywhere, and little gifts and amenities throughout. We had no trouble staying warm, plenty of blankets. The coffee is a Keurig. The layout is great, with one of the bathrooms being in a bedroom and the other available to the whole house. All in all it was perfect for us passing through headed north, but if you have reason to be in the area for longer avail yourself of this great place to stay.

My family and I stayed here for one night as a midpoint on the way to Colorado. Lisa accommodated our late check in and early check out with ease. The pictures do not due this place justice!! Totally adorable, and updated little a-frame. Spacious, clean, easy to find. It was dark when we arrived and left but I’m sure it’s a beautiful farm surrounding. We could hear cows mooing 😄 loved it at the hobbit hut!!

Cindy’s studio was the perfect base camp for my annual trip to Bedford Iowa. I look forward to returning.

The exterior of the spacious lodge features a modern design with deep red wooden siding. Large windows reflect the surrounding trees, while three dormer windows adorn the roof. The entrance is enhanced by a welcoming wreath, with a gravel path leading up to the front door.

Angela was a great host. We used this location to stay in while in town for a wedding and she was easily accessible and the location was close to the venue, making travel easy back and forth. We loved our stay in Bedford and would recommend!
