What are experiences and services?

Airbnb Experiences are activities that help guests connect with the places they’re in, like cooking classes, art workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours. Airbnb Services are high-quality services that can help make a guest’s stay even better, including massages, prepared meals, and personal training sessions.

Experiences and services are vetted for quality and reviewed regularly to make sure they meet Airbnb’s standards. Many hosts are renowned in their fields.

How do I share recommendations?

There are 2 ways to recommend experiences and services in the Messages tab. You can choose from a selection of highly rated listings or share links to your favorites in a message. When you make a recommendation either way, guests receive a digital card that shows the listing’s title, star rating, and number of reviews.

To choose from a selection of highly rated listings:

  • Go to your conversation with the guest.
  • Tap the plus sign (+) by “Write a message,” then Share recommendations.
  • Select experiences or services you’d like to recommend and add them by tapping Attach.
  • Tap the arrow () to share the recommendations.

To share links to your favorite listings:

  • Copy links to your favorite experiences and services and paste them into a message.
  • If you use this method, keep in mind that guests will see digital cards as well as the links themselves. You’ll only be eligible for a reward if guests tap on the digital card to book.

How do I save my recommendations in quick replies?

You can create a quick reply or edit an existing one. Saving links to your recommendations in a pre-written template helps save time. You can send a quick reply while you’re messaging with guests or schedule it to be sent automatically at a key moment.

To create or edit a quick reply:

  • Go to the Messages tab.
  • Tap the settings icon at the top right of the screen.
  • Tap Manage quick replies and Create.
  • Give your template a name and write your message.
  • Tap Add details to use placeholders that automatically fill in the guest’s name or other information.
  • Include links to the listings you’re recommending.
  • Tap Save.
