Vacation rentals with lake access in Republika Srpska

Villa Tara is very special. A cozy villa in a rural area where the mountains frame the villa and where the river Neretva flows just below the house. In the garden, there are several different fruit trees, including figs. There is also a brick grill where I grilled the Bosnian national dish Kevacic. The Mostar area boasts Mediterranean heat and in the garden there is a well-kept pool where I cooled off. It's in Villa Tara, about 8 kilometers outside of busy Mostar, I completely rushed off and just enjoyed the amazing view. Bakery bread (at extremely low prices) and food (also very cheap) I bought in the shops which are about 500 meters from the villa. When I arrived, I also got a nice welcome gift: eggs from the neighbor's affluent outdoor hens. I can highly recommend villa Tara. If you want to go into Mostar, you either have your own car, call for a taxi or take the bus. I will come here many more times.

This is a true hidden gem where I could have easily spent many more weeks. Safet and Arnela are the best hosts I’ve met on this platform. They welcomed us to their place by the lake, making sure we know all there is to know. The water from the lake is fresh but warm enough that we could swim as long as we wanted. A 20 min. walk will bring you to a fish shop (also a restaurant with a breathtaking view) where you can buy trout that you can bring back to grill. The place stays cool even on warm days. We were there for 3 weeks in June and July and never used the AC. Be prepared to deal with some mosquitoes in the evenings (though nothing compared to Canada). We had a bit of trouble finding the house: ask the hosts for details before leaving if, like us, you are travelling without a phone. Mila, the nicest cat ever, lives there all year round and is a real charmer.

This is by far the nicest place we have stayed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The beautiful house and gorgeous, serene setting made this a place a dream to relax. And Marko’s hospitality and attention to detail really made this a special getaway vacation. The house was spotless, the pool pristine, and the beds and other furniture were comfy. We really hope we can return soon. We highly recommend!

This House is a Gem! Looks even better than on the pictures. It has everything you would need for a perfect holiday + the location is just so peaceful! We stayed 5 nights (2 adults 2 Kids) and we all agreed on it that the stay is superb..Also,.the owners of the house were so nice and friendly. We will come back one day for sure!

Peaceful place, to relax for a couple of days

Great place to stay Calm and quiet

Very polite and nice host. The house was exactly what we were searching for, a place in the nature of Bosnia, with a nice living room, kitchen, bathroom, balcony and garden. The view onto the lake in the front and the mountains in the back was amazing. The area also was perfect for us to go hiking and biking.

The host and apartment were great. We had a very nice stay here. Thank you for the hospitality. I recommend the apartment to other guests visiting the Rama lake.

Elvedina’s place is stunning. She was responsive throughout my entire stay, helpful, friendly, and had great recommendations for the area. Check in was smooth and flexible which was appreciated after a long drive. The kitchen was very well stocked - if you like to cook you will have zero issues. The beds … you will have the best sleeps of your life they are so comfortable. The unit is in a quiet area, neighbours were quiet and the only noise was from the road and the occasional gym bar bell. We didn’t visit the gym nor the pool but it looks fantastic, clean, and convenient! The area is very hot in summer, she has the entire unit covered for AC - you will be incredibly comfortable. The balcony provided beautiful views of Mostar, and the famous bridge is within walking distance. If you have mobility issues - you will not be able to walk to the old town, but it’s a 5 minute drive (zero inconvenience). We felt safe and welcome throughout the stay and we will definitely return! Stay here!

The apartment is beautifully decorated, modern and very clean. Everything was exactly as described, without any surprises. The stay was pleasant and stress-free - we highly recommend it.

Comfortable, clean, organized... This was a lovely place to stay! we only stayed a night and did little around because it was a stop from our road trip... so we did not do much around the area. But the food in the restaurant just in front was delicious!!! Sinisa, was a great host too.... attentive and responsive! highly recommended!

Apartment has everything you need for your stay.

The welcome was very guest friendly. We were overwhelmed by the generous cordiality of the host. The house was cosy, locating in a beatiful landscape. We enjoyed our staying there.

Wonderful lakehouse with a beautiful view. The host Senad was very helpful and friendly. I strongly recommend this lakehouse if you want to enjoy the beautiful lake in Jajce.

I have stayed with my family at Andy’s cottage for 5 days and we did had a wonderful time. The location of the cottage is beautiful, with the river and surrounding nature, makes the place a real treat to relax and enjoy the summer. The swimming pool was perfect and very well taken care of. It even has a smaller pool perfect to seat and enjoy and also for younger children. The cottage itself is lovely, comfortable and well equipped with the plus of a beautiful eating outside area. Last but not the least, Andy was very nice host, waited for us, even though our arrival time was much later than expected. For future guests and for those who are seeking to experience some chill days in beautiful place, I do recommend and hope to be able to repeat in the future.
