I had a lovely stay. The home was very basic, but it was just what I was looking for. The lake is beautiful and very secluded. There was no soap or shampoo provided. There was also no sponge or dish brush, so cleaning dishes was tricky. And finally, there was no coffee. These are small things, but they are listed on the listing, so I did not bring any of those items.

We loved staying at this house! It had so much character and space. The porches are delightful. I like when an Airbnb feels like a home. The lake is right there in the yard and there were lots of lake supplies. The host was very helpful with any questions we had. I hope we can rent this place again.

My friends and I loved the cabin, and it was a great space, well-kept, and beautiful! Petra was very responsive, very thorough, and all-around great to deal with - she's very practiced at hosting and it shows. There was plenty of space for all of us, ample parking, the views were great, the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and the lake is less than 10 minutes walking - so that was a nice perk as well. Just a few quirks that we had to figure out (the stay was still 5 stars overall, these are just things I would recommend checking on when you arrive) - there were only 2.5 rolls of toilet paper in a house meant to house up to 12 people for 2 nights and the dishwasher unfortunately didn't work during our stay (though Petra was very responsive in helping us troubleshoot and was flexible about how to handle the dirty dishes) But to reiterate - loved our stay, would definitely stay again and recommend Petra as a host :)

We will have to come back and visit this wonderful house and boat house in the summertime. I can only imagine how wonderful it is when you can enjoy sitting on the dock and soaking in this beautiful lake. We visited on probably the coldest weekend of the year, so we did not get to take full advantage of all the amenities. Everything was really nice and we had a very relaxing long weekend.

A modern house is nestled among trees, featuring large windows that overlook the private lake. A spacious deck and pathway lead down to a dock with kayaks. Soft outdoor lighting enhances the relaxing ambiance as the surroundings blend with nature.

We loved our stay here! It was thought out well and had nice amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms. The hot tub wasn't very hot for both of the nights we were there which was kind of a bummer. Joel was super responsive and had someone come look at it but it heated very slowly so unfortunately we did not get to enjoy it as much as we had wanted to. The area itself is SO beautiful and serene, we loved the lake and the big deck. The views were amazing! Ultimately, we would love to come back in the future!

This cabin is a true gem. The location is great as it feels quiet and woodsy but isn’t remote or hard to find. The cabin is well appointed, super clean, and comfortable for two couples even though we only used one of the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need and quite a few things you may have forgotten. I’d definitely recommend this cabin and being pet friendly is a plus. Our golden retriever thoroughly enjoyed it and the quick 5 min drive to Hemlock Falls.

Scott was responsive to all requests/concerns we had during our stay. The amenities are A+ and the cabin is very spacious with multiple areas to congregate or separate! With the exception of hiking Station Cove Falls trail, attending a Christmas Eve service, and fishing at a childhood fishing spot, we found that the amenities of this cabin were very sufficient for the 5 days we were there. An important detail to note on this review is that the bedroom on the main level has a queen bed. The other 3 bedrooms are up a very steep flight of stairs. The room with the king-sized bed does not have a single bed, as indicated on the site. For my family of 6 adults, we found that this cabin sleeps only 5 comfortably. There are 2 cots, one on the upper level and one on the basement level along with a futon-style sofa. Scott has put a lot of thought into making this property a vacation home waiting to make special memories for families who stay here!

The view from the living room and covered patio where even better then expected. The photos do not do it justice, the sun set every evening dropping behind the mountains and reflecting off the water was beautiful. Work is bringing us back to the area in a couple months. Will definitely be rebooking to stay at this property again.

Scotty was very friendly, fast responses and accommodating. The place was very peaceful and relaxing and the little stream running to the side of the house just made it. The perfect little getaway. Would perfect in the spring or early fall to see the changing of colors.

A hidden gem for everyone who is into primitive camping / glamping. We were going up north to backpack on Art Loeb, stopped there to spend a night and stayed for two full days. The distillery is amazing. We had a lot of fun. The lake is great. Everything was so peaceful. Highly recommend to stop by and try all the locally distilled whiskey, brandy and liquors

This was one of the most magical places we have ever stayed. I can’t speak highly enough about this cottage and its surroundings. It was luxurious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Close to town with great shops and restaurants, but also very private and serene. One of the best trips we have taken in a very long time. I can’t recommend this beautiful home enough.

We had a great time. The place was clean and there was a lot to do in the cabin. (board games, cards, etc.) We only used the hot tub once but it was great. There were plenty of utensils for us to cook. The grill and fireplace worked great as well. The last stretch of road to get to the cabin was a bit rough but we never had any issues getting in or out. Would come back here if we plan something around Atlanta.

Check in was easy and Regina was very responsive, even on Thanksgiving day. The house was clean and there was a not explaining the use of all the amenities like the wood burning stove. There's plenty of sleeping space, especially for children. The kitchen has all the utensils and pans you should need to make anything you need. The listing only has the washer listed, but there is a washer/dryer combo unit the house. I honestly did not ask about it or use it because I usually don't stay anywhere long enough to need to but that could use some clarification probably. The house has some cool decorations around it that after a while I noticed, many were made by the owner herself. When I use Airbnb its usually for somewhere to stay when my family goes hiking. This had everything I needed for a week and was clean and comfortable.

Our family loved Pippas place! We spent the time in the more than expansive home celebrating a birthday, using the grill, sitting at the fire pit each night, having evening visits with the sweet donkey we got to feed some carrots, and endless fishing on the property for our son. Very safe for kids.

Cottontail Cottage was the perfect place to relax in the mountains! Very private, great places to walk nearby, and gorgeous mountain/countryside views! The cottage was comfortable and cozy, especially with the screened in porch. We had a rainy day during our stay and didn’t mind spending the day at the cottage one bit! Peter & Debbie were lovely and accommodating, you can tell they truly care about their guests’ comfort. Would definitely recommend choosing Cottontail Cottage for your stay in the mountains!

Everything was as advertised but looked even nicer and more serene than the pics. Makes me want to buy a similar home on this lake! All the details were perfect and all basics were well stocked. Master bath light timeout can be annoying when you’re showering but it’s a minor detail. Will definitely come back for our engagement anniversary!!

We had a great stay. Lots of beautiful waterfalls in the area. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Keowee. The house was very well equipped. We cooked most of our meals and we found everything we needed and more. The view of the lake from the upper deck was beautiful and we enjoyed going out in the canoe. We would not hesitate to book again in the future. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Low Gap Lodge was wonderful for our Thanksgiving with family. Home is beautiful, clean and cozy. Easy to find and lots of easy parking. The home is stocked like none other. The surrounding area is beautiful. Nice walking distance to bridge over spillway and nice little park in the water. Be sure to take your canoe/ kayaks. Would definitely stay again!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Craig and Janet’s place. A beautiful, modern, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed home in a peaceful and beautiful setting. Too many amenities to list - there were thoughtful touches everywhere and the home was beautifully decorated. We truly felt like guests in someone’s private home. From the friendly and warm welcome to the gracious hospitality all throughout the home. We also enjoyed the beautiful setting and the walk to the lake. The peaceful view from the dock was worth the short hike! It was a wonderful weekend and we can’t wait to stay with them again!

Thank you for letting us stay. it was wonderful being able to have our two dogs with us. Bed was comfortable and and there was ample room for our two 18 year olds. The hot tub was clean and warm! Used it every day. Only thing I would not, and this doesn't take away from the review or rating, is the pond wasn't quite the view we thought it would be and there were more lizards than fish. nothing the host can control. Just something to note depending on the expectations of the guest and what they are looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
