Come an enjoy the outdoors and relax at our family’s camp. We want to share our experiences with others. We still use it at times. Lots of wildlife in the area and to hear at night when your sitting by the fire. Boat ramp is 1/2 mile away to fish for walleye, bass, pike. Atv trails near by too. There’s 2 restaurants/bars and country stores within 3 miles. A trail that leads down to the water. It’s more of a rustic experience and for an outdoorsy person. My son, daughter in law and I stayed at Cabin 3 in the Lorelei Cabins in Hessel, MI from May 15-19, 2025. The cabin is clean, cozy and looks exactly like the photos. We especially enjoyed the second floor with the large window overlooking Hessel Bay. The kitchen is well stocked, although we ate most meals out since it is walking distance to restaurants. A real plus was having two bathrooms (one full with shower and one half bath next to the main bedroom). I would say the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the water quality - I’m just not used to well water. Just buy bottled water to drink & for coffee and tea - problem solved! The location was perfect for our plans - kayaking and hiking. If we return to the eastern UP in the future we will definitely stay here again.

The place was REALLY clean, the fire pit out back was so nice, the beds were comfortable and the showers were lovely. The attention to detail is just top notch. This is for sure one of the top 5 places I’ve ever stayed. Thank you for everything!!

This was our second time staying at Cody's place. Beautiful house right on the waters of Lake Huron. Lots of kitchen stuff to use; a few food items in the cupboards, but lots of spices and space to cook. We made almost every meal there (we stayed for 5 days). Cody was very proactive about letting us know what to do to get in and what was expected upon leaving. We love it here.
