Monika and Paul were very hospitable hosts. They both picked us up when we arrived and left. They were very friendly and we felt welcome with them. In addition to their kindness, we were also lucky enough to meet Mikisoq, their very sweet dog. We hope to meet them again someday.

Authentic stay on Saarloq island in real Greenlandic fisherman's house. 40 minutes sailing from Qaqortoq. Disco Line route boat access 2 times a week. Self catering with the possibility of shopping at the local shop. Water from water mail and spring. There is no running water and sewer. Guests are responsible for their own day-to-day chores. Please bring linen or sleeping bag. The island's resident mainly lives on hunting and fishing. Local produce and housework available for purchase! The house will be returned ready for the next guests.

The house has three bedrooms and is ideal for families and groups of up to six people. It has a spacious central area with a full kitchen, dining room and living room that opens onto a large deck overlooking the fjord. Nuannivik has been extensively remodeled and modernized with all the comforts of home, including a bathroom with a shower and a separate WC. All windows are new and the layout of the house has been altered to give the house a light, bright and open feel.

Dorthe and Jack were incredibly welcoming and kind. They also have the sweetest, friendliest dog I have ever met. Their place was a great base for my trip to south Greenland.

A perfect home for vacation or other stay. The view of the harbor and the daily activities were an extra plus to the experience of the city and the place. A good well-equipped kitchen, so we could also cook meals from the good Greenlandic ingredients.
