Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Putnam County

We had a wonderful stay! This house is conveniently located in downtown Charleston in a quiet quaint neighborhood. We walked downtown and also had easy access to the interstate. Location is perfect. We have stayed in this neighborhood before. The neighborhood surrounds a power plant, but that did not affect our stay one bit. The plant is surrounded by a nice brick wall and provides extra light that also affects security. The house has plenty of privacy in the perfect gated backyard and the plant is inconsequential. We parked a car in the garage and an SUV in the driveway. The house is best for two vehicles and there is no on street parking due to the power plant. Just plan accordingly. The house is spotless and spacious. We felt completely at home. There are plenty of amenities- towels, dishes, attention to detail. The hosts were perfect, they obviously take this seriously. You won’t regret choosing this house and we will return when visiting Charleston in the future.

The house is huge with a great front porch. Plenty of parking. Less than a mile walk from Charleston Coliseum and Town Center.

This was a highlight and at the top of most memorable stays- as a frequent traveler, I always seek out that unique place. From the Americana decor to the Raggedy Ann themed room that made me smile and remind me of childhood, as well as enjoying the stay with family, my mom loved it too- as that was her favorite doll as a child. So memorable for any generation from that era! Or for the history buffs as the place showcases decor/pieces in the kitchen, gathering room and front office. Didn’t even turn on the TV! Lots of games too. A reading nook past the bedrooms that looked super cozy. Enjoyed the back porch/deck and has a fire pit- would have loved to stay longer! And a cat visited us- very cute! The host was very generous and communicative, added the special touch with welcome notes and sign by named and personalized welcome gifts- makes it feel like a welcome home!

This was our second time staying here and I would highly recommend! It is a beautifully done historic home in a wonderfully peaceful location. Pet friendly which is a huge priority for us. The views and property are amazing and Mary is a wonderful host....quick response, detailed instructions and very kind & gracious.

The home was exactly as described and it worked perfectly for our family of six. I would definitely recommend it to others traveling to Charleston, WV.

This was a great place to stay. Very clean. The ping pong table and games were a nice touch. Will definitely stay there again!

Carl was extremely responsive from when I booked til check out. The house was exactly like the pictures, and had everything you would need to stay. It was clean, and smelled nice. We got to enjoy the wild white tail every day in the backyard in the evening. I had a great stay! Thanks, Carl!
