Compass Point is a wonderful place! There were great water views from every window in the living room and dining area. And the water is much closer to the house than the photos convey. It's an incredibly quiet and private spot. The only sounds we heard were gulls and loons calling, the water lapping, and the lobster boats checking their pots. The house itself is well furnished, well supplied, and immaculate. Both Kyle and Alice were terrific communicators -- helpful, but never intrusive. Five stars, the whole way around!

Diwas was alert and responsive. The free breakfast at everyday joes was very good and fresh. We liked Pats Pizza downstairs and the nice bar. All workers at both places very nice and friendly. Loved how close we were to downtown, without being right in the middle of all the chaos. We loved our stay and had a great time. The Airbnb was perfect for us celebrating our anniversary.

Will Definitely Stay Again on Next Trip! What an amazing stay right at a working marina where you have water views on 2 sides and can enjoy watching the inner workings of the life on the many lobster boats leaving every morning and returning at evening. The location was perfect for great restaurants, local shopping, and as a home base for all the hiking destinations. Arcadia Sailing is right there also; our sunset sail was picture perfect. The AirBnB was everything we had read about and hoped for. Parking was great, access convenient, the views of the harbor amazing. As met as a family from NC, TX and OH to cheer my daughter on in the MDI half-marathon. The living area was warm and comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, the bedrooms roomy with great beds and bathroom access. Everything was clean and tidy. Having a washer and dryer was a nice amenity. Molly was available to answer questions and make recommendations. The only negative was that our collective stay was too short!

What a cute little bungalow. A one room wonder. Milk House was easy to get to and had a couple walks to ocean views. Right on the main road but very quiet. We were prepared for the limited kitchen & were able to make 3 fabulous dinners. Get ready to unwind & unplug.

This was a beautiful apartment to stay in, the view to the Union river, and evergreen trees was absolutely gorgeous. The apartment was clean and well designed and had lots of space. A short walk to Josie‘s country store & Café every morning for breakfast was perfect. A quick drive into downtown Ellsworth, where there are lots of restaurants, shops and pubs, then a bit further to Acadia national park, roughly a half hour drive, in April. We loved hiking in Acadia on Bar Harbor Island. What a great visit to Maine!

We enjoyed our stay at the Duck Cove Apartment. The Apartment was warm and comfortable and the location was peaceful and picturesque. It was a good base for our hikes at Acadia National Park. Nancy welcomed us when we arrived and was a responsive and friendly host. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and moonlight on the water from the living room. It was a nice place to stay!

We were immediately charmed by this pristine, cozy cottage by the ocean. The view is incredible and the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. Ashley and her hospitality crew are so friendly and helpful. Felt like we had known them for a while! Very difficult to leave this beautiful place.and hope to return someday.

This luxurious cabin was perfect! Walking distance to a beautiful lighthouse and nestled back in the woods. The hot tub was a bonus after the long day of work/play. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living space had ample room. Clean and new furniture. The beds were super comfortable. We'll definately be back.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

The Bunkhouse Waterfront Sleeps 17

For our family vacation this was perfect. The kids can sled right on the property. Jay has lights along the trail for night sledding as well. We tried ice fishing for the first time and had fun with that. Our mission was for snowmobiling though, and this is a good starting point. Ride directly from the cabin without any hassles. Jay is a fantastic host. He happened to be staying at The Boathouse (next to The Bunkhouse) for a few days for his kids' school vacation, and he could not have been any friendlier. We are already looking forward to next year. The Bunkhouse is not the fanciest cabin on the lake, nor is it intended to be. It is designed for sleeping a good crowd of people who are motivated around outdoor activities. The wood stove makes returning to the cabin that much more enjoyable. The view of the lake and mountains is hard to beat, considering the tall pines surrounding the area. Overall, this was a great experience, and we would return again without thinking about it.

The description is very clear, this is not a posh hotel. It is clean, comfortable and gorgeous. We traveled with our 11 y/o - she loved it, but I wouldn't recommend it to a family with smaller or rambunctious children. It was incredibly peaceful. The beach was great for finding sea glass. It made a great base camp for exploring the island while not having to fight crowds.

Great stay! The apartment was clean and the hosts were always very responsive and flexible. It was about a 10-15 drive to get into Bar Harbor so not too bad. WiFi was alright but did the job - wouldn’t be strong enough for a work from home situation, but strong enough for a vacation where we didn’t need it too often.

Erika’s place was the perfect home base for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! We had plenty of space and privacy, but were only a few minutes drive to all of the activities we wanted to do. The back porch was an especially cozy detail; we loved slow mornings drinking coffee outside.

This property was awesome we were all very happy with the location, amenities, price and host. Hillary was polite and very helpful. This trip almost didn’t happen as our previous reservation was canceled 12 hours before check in from a different host. Luckily Hillary saved the week with her quick response time and answering questions about sleeping situations etc. would stay here again in a heart beat highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful and Julie is a lovely host! You have your own cabin, over looking a beautiful view with mountains. Julie told us how her husband built the cabins, and you can feel how much love was put into them. Definitely coming back!

My husband and I spent our babymoon at Jennifer’s place, and waking up to the stunning lake view each day was just what I needed to unwind. We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect—very close to Acadia, making it easy to explore the park. The house was extremely clean, well-maintained, and had comfortable beds with great sheets. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The only thing to note for families with young children is that there are stairs and space heaters, which might require some extra supervision. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, and we would definitely return!
