Beachfront vacation rentals in Prospect Bay

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

Our stay at Terence Bay was incredible. The location is stunning—right on the beach with beautiful views of a lighthouse. My kids loved being able to climb on the rocks, go hiking along the seashore and even find sea glass right in the backyard! We couldn’t have asked for more and my family didn’t want our time to end! The property was spotless and even better than the pictures. Our two kids especially loved the bunk bed room. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was pure bliss. Danielle, our host, was fantastic—always helpful and attentive. You could tell that she genuinely cared about us having a great trip. She offered us tips and help when needed. We’ll definitely be recommending this spot to our friends and family.

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived later in the day (7 or 8 pm), but were able to get settled in easily. We really enjoyed the propane fire pit that was provided and had a great time watching the sunset by the fire pit. Even though there are nearby cabins once you’re in it feels like your own private paradise (also nothing gets in the way of the back porch view). If we are in the area or get the opportunity to we would love to stay here again and would recommend it to friends/family!

I booked Wilson Coastal Club 5 for 3 nights, and it was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully set up clean, cozy, and with an incredible water view right from the window. Waking up to that every morning was such a treat! The entire property has a peaceful, inviting atmosphere. One of our favorite moments was spending a relaxing evening in the wood-fired hot tub and sauna with a private ocean view. It was such a cozy and intimate way to unwind. We also enjoyed quiet walks along the shore and soaking in the calm surroundings. The staff and the host were so friendly and helpful always available to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The host even checked in during our stay to make sure we were doing okay, which was very thoughtful. The location is great close to the highway, so it’s easy to get to Halifax. There’s also a nearby supermarket and gas station. Plus, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg are just a short drive away. Thank you, for hosting us :)

I can't begin to explain the scerene beauty that this place Tania's place offers. Stunningly beautiful views and a sunrise that leaves you breathless. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and their amazing dogs made the whole place feel like home. We will definitely be back. If I could ever recommend somewhere to be near Halifax but out of this city this hidden gem is an absolute must!!!

We had our daughter and her family with us and we all enjoyed the cottage. The view is spectacular, the home is comfortable and our grandsons loved beach combing on the private beach every day! I highly recommend this place for families or even a group of friends.

Erin and Mitch were great hosts. The place was easy to find, neat, and felt like home away from home. Every amenity was as described and the brochure they created gave us all the information we needed in case we had further questions. We loved Halifax and would definitely stay at their place again when we do visit. Thanks again Erin and Mitch!

Our Stay at the Fish Shack was pure magic. Loved every minute of it. From the idyllic, beautiful location, charming, authentic folk art that filled the property, comfortable bed, linens, furnishing, well stocked kitchen, lovely deck and setting, we couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable visit and host. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with us. This stop after our long trip cross Canada road trip was just what we hoped for and exceeded our expectations 😁. Thank you for sharing Val!

We had such a wonderful week at Galen's and didn't want to leave! It was so refreshing to wake up to the view of the lake each morning. We traveled with our 2 year old, and Galen provided a high chair, crib, toys, and books for her, which made our stay so comfortable. The place was bright, cheerful, and clean, and we found everything we needed in the kitchen / used the grill without any trouble. Galen provided great recommendations for local sightseeing, hikes, and restaurants. We especially loved day trips to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Peggy's Cove, and locally had a great dinner and drinks at North Brewing Company (which was very kind friendly too!). A week flew by and we'd love to visit again.

I had an amazing time at Joe and Jeff's place, as always. The view is beautiful, the place is cozy and super clean. They are incredibly responsive and helpful hosts. For many years now I have been going to the cottage for a quiet week away, and every time it is a wonderful experience. I can't rate the cottage highly enough, and Joe and Jeff are exceptional hosts.

We always wanted to experience staying in an RV and staying here was a very lovely experience. The RV has all the basic amenities with a touch of luxury. The location of this just near the lake which was an added bonus! Whitney is a great host, she was very responsive from the start. Offered us the farm fresh eggs which we enjoyed a lot! You can put a Bon fire also there is a kayak kept! The host ensured our stay becomes a memorable experience!

this AirBNB is VERY well managed and the details are accurate. I never had to once wonder about any topic, communication was generally started by the hosts and anticipated any need or questions. This is how they should all be run.

Holly was fantastic. Due to unavoidable storm circumstances Holly had to reroute us to a different airbnb, and she did swiftly and comfortably.

This was a perfect getaway home. Very comfortable and relaxing. A great view of the ocean. The front windows let in so much of the morning light ; I absolutely loved hanging out in front of the window in a big comfy chair or sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. One does have to drive to get anywhere but the drives are relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. Grocery stores only a few miles away. A great beach also a few miles away. We weren’t able to experience any local restaurants unless there was outdoor seating as we had our dog, a Great Dane, with us. But that was completely okay with us as we just really wanted to get away from the craziness of the world for a week! The host was very responsive when we had questions and very friendly. Highly recommend this little charm!

What a beautiful place to spend a weekend very clean very organized and a deer waiting for us. when we pulled in the driveway. Our stay was lovely. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Thomas.

very comfortable and very peaceful spot!! hot tub worked great, and a nice spacy house! had all utensils and dishes we needed. only thing I'd suggest is some more cups (different sizes) and maybe a couple extra plates. but it was a very small gripe, nothing to bring my rating down, still a 5 star stay, based on the private location alone. worth the price for 2 to 4 people looking to have some peaceful privacy.

Absolutely stunning place. Extremely responsive and kind host. Lots of dishes, cookware, appliances to use. Extremely comfortable beds. Three pristine bathrooms. Clean fridge. Stellar and stunning ocean views! Perfect all around

This house is extraordinary. The history, the decor, the comfort. The best stocked kitchen we have ever seen (plus an additional half kitchen). This may be minor, but they had lots of extras towels, face cloths and toilet paper. And the views - unbelievable! Alan's support as host was impeccable - as friendly and he was efficient. We will definitely return!

The house was amazing. Very remote and quiet. But only 30 minutes to busier locations with shopping, restaurants, etc. Within 10 minutes, RoseBay Bistro & Market and Dear Emma Pizza (incredible!) provide all you need otherwise. The beach is incredible. Sitting in the chairs at the edge of the beach, over the dunes, is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a happy hour cocktail! The house design is like a piece of art - the many levels and nooks make it a very unique experience. It is well furnished with all sorts of things you might want to enjoy your stay. Very thoughtful. We look forward to a return visit.

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. You will not be disappointed with this gorgeous well appointed home. We had 12 family members with us and we had plenty of space for everyone ! We were very comfortable in every room. The beds are wonderful with lovely bedding. The views from this home are extra special. Particularly the partially covered upper deck. We watched osprey and eagles flying over water from the comfortable outdoor furniture We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the evenings. It’s a serene retreat that we were lucky enough to find on Airbnb Don’t hesitate - true value for money Patricia

Above and Beyond Booked this trip for a group of 7 guys in our early 30s, and it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their own bed, and the space was the perfect size for us with all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning. I knew it was on the ocean, but wow - photos really don’t do it justice. While we were there, some of us spotted seals and even saw a whale — a pretty exciting wildlife moment. Not sure how common that is, but it was a highlight for us, being from out of province . Uber does reach the property, which made a night out in Halifax easy, though we also rented a car to get around — both options worked well. Huge thanks to the hosts. We’d love to come back

Great location on a very clean and peaceful lake. Swimming , kayaks and paddleboards are available right off the private dock. My son and I enjoyed paddling around the lake with islands, walking trails and a natural area with diving board to explore. The house is on a peninsula so while it’s very private , you also get pretty views on 3 sides. The house is stocked with everything you need for meals, movie watching , games (indoor & outdoor) as wells as a fire pit area. Very rustic feel but everything clean and air conditioned so we were comfortable when we did spend time in the house. Lastly , we were able to get to the Halifax waterfront for a very enjoyable meal in only 35 mins. Closer options in Sackville & Dartmouth as well. We also appreciated having a large Sobey’s grocery store only 10 min drive away.
