Absolutely beautiful and Julie is a lovely host! You have your own cabin, over looking a beautiful view with mountains. Julie told us how her husband built the cabins, and you can feel how much love was put into them. Definitely coming back!

Very peaceful. Woke up every morning and had my coffee on the porch with an amazing view of the lake. The last day of our stay it snowed which made everything absolutely beautiful! Looked out the window to see a family of deer standing in the yard, watching the snow fall, what a way to end a vacation. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed, from a full kitchen to plenty of towels and such for the bathroom. The host recommended a local restaurant that was right around the corner with good food, we also stopped at the grocery store at the hosts suggestion before checking in - that was helpful as well. Great stay overall, we accomplished everything we wanted to and still had time to explore.

Excellent communication and very convenient for snowmobiling and ice fishing Moosehead. It was very spacious with some additional comforts! Loved the hot tub. We will be staying again next year!

For our family vacation this was perfect. The kids can sled right on the property. Jay has lights along the trail for night sledding as well. We tried ice fishing for the first time and had fun with that. Our mission was for snowmobiling though, and this is a good starting point. Ride directly from the cabin without any hassles. Jay is a fantastic host. He happened to be staying at The Boathouse (next to The Bunkhouse) for a few days for his kids' school vacation, and he could not have been any friendlier. We are already looking forward to next year. The Bunkhouse is not the fanciest cabin on the lake, nor is it intended to be. It is designed for sleeping a good crowd of people who are motivated around outdoor activities. The wood stove makes returning to the cabin that much more enjoyable. The view of the lake and mountains is hard to beat, considering the tall pines surrounding the area. Overall, this was a great experience, and we would return again without thinking about it.

I love coming up to First Roach Pond. John’s place is lovely and f very well stocked with anything you could need. The beds are comfortable, the area is inviting and we saw three moose just up the road. Can’t wait to return.

I’m trying not to let the fact that I just got home to find that someone must have hit our car while we were there taint my review. There’s a big dent in the bumper of my brand new car. Of course, whoever did it didn’t want to tell us. The parking is a bit tight and people are moving their boats in and out so I guess that’s something to look out for if you stay here. Other than that, the location is excellent and the cabin was spacious.
