Perfect location! We were in Halifax for a family wedding, and were able to get around so easily from here. Any free time was spent gazing out at the lake.. a very peaceful and serene retreat

Beautiful spot! Although the weather wasn't great it was peaceful and relaxing. Our kids fished all weekend and loved it. The house was beautiful and clean. Chris was always responsive to questions. Great stay!

Dave’s cottage was cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay! We had the pleasure of seeing two different geese families and lots of ducks and loons, too. Our toddler loved all the toys and books and we enjoyed the gorgeous views and comfortable furnishings. We really appreciate Dave’s hospitality and great communication. All in all it was a visit!

We have done a lot of traveling. This was our favorite AIRBNB ever. Its a bit of a trek outside the city, but if you are seeking peace and tranquility this is the ticket. The property is beautifully designed and has everything you need and more. The owners are excellent communicators. Although we try not to duplicate our trips (too much to see in this world) this would be one we'd consider. Too often you need a vacation from your vacation...not here.

Beautiful private property hidden away from the road, with the lake in the backyard. Casondra was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The interior was clean and there are instructions for pretty much anything you’d need inside the home. So cozy at night and the hot tub was so nice! They even let us use their kayaks, what a treat. We loved our two night stay, would definitely recommend!

very comfortable and very peaceful spot!! hot tub worked great, and a nice spacy house! had all utensils and dishes we needed. only thing I'd suggest is some more cups (different sizes) and maybe a couple extra plates. but it was a very small gripe, nothing to bring my rating down, still a 5 star stay, based on the private location alone. worth the price for 2 to 4 people looking to have some peaceful privacy.

Absolutely stunning home! Well stocked and maintained. We were very happy with our stay! The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. We had one small issue which was handled very quickly and smoothly!! Thank you for a lovely stay! Highly recommend!

Favia's home is very spacious with 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 and half bathrooms that are great for a family of 6 people. her living room, dining area and kitchen are also very clean and large that we got lots of space to hang out during quiet time. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are clean. Kids could watch TV on YouTube, which is great! The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and very safe. I really like how close the house is off the highway to Halifax downtown yet it is hidden away on a hill so not right beside the highway and still very residential area. Very quick drive about 10 min to downtown so the location is amazing! Flavia is very friendly and responsive to our inquiries. Love the washer and dryer that we could do out laundry at the end of our stay. Thank you Flavia and your husband for such a wonderful home and all your help in our stay! Highly recommend this home for families and groups!

Kaycee’s cottage was sweet, comfortable, and quiet. Our toddler loved the front lawn to play with his monster trucks and the beach (where he also played with his monster trucks!). We got to see lots of beautiful bird life and even a lady slipper! Our stay was lovely and we had all the comforts we needed. Our family would certainly visit again! Thanks, Kaycee!

Lots of extra touches. Wonderful welcome basket that even included dog toys and treats (including wine for the 2-legged guests). Loved having the washer/dryer to use (when you are travelling this is really nice). Overall very positive experience.

Sifat and Sana were such great hosts! So prompt to respond to any questions we had. They ensured that we were comfortable and the stay felt very safe! We absolutely will book again next time we’re in Halifax for a visit. Excellent accommodations!

Kelly & Doris were so accommodating, and helpful. We had the absolute best time during our stay. The property is stunning, and very well kept. Our children loved having the playground across the pond to play at. Waking up there every morning was so peaceful. We will cherish the memories we made at this private little oasis.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s home. Was for sure in the top 5% of all the airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The home was impeccably clean, well decorated and felt like the perfect restful getaway for my family. The place exceeded our expectations. Jennifer was a wonderful host and included tons of local restaurants and places to explore. My toddler loved playing with the legos and coloring supplies. It was so spacious for her to run around. Long Lake was a convenient walk and was such a treat for her to see ducks and play in the water. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I stayed at Duoduo’s place for 9 nights. It was perfectly located for easy access to shopping, restaurants, downtown Halifax, and 102 & 103 Hwys. Super quiet neighborhood and new build. Although there wasn’t a full kitchen, the amenities provided were just what was needed for continental breakfast options and ordering in for supper. With mobility issues I found the bed was a very low but the super comfy mattress made up for that. Otherwise, the space was easily accessible with no stairs. I will definitely be booking again when I work in Halifax!

This was a fantastic place to stay as it was clean, thoughtfully equipped, and architecturally beautiful. My girlfriends and I booked the cottage for a cozy night in after a visit to the nearby Nordic spa, and it exceeded our expectations. The space was inviting with plenty of amenities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The only drawbacks were related to lighting. There were no lamps in the whole cottage, so we had to rely on the overhead lights, which made the atmosphere feel less cozy in the evening. Additionally, while the majority of the windows are not designed for curtains, it would have been nice to have some window coverings in the one bedroom downstairs where they could be hung to help block out the morning light. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d absolutely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect to visit the surrounding area such as the local Wineries, Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove. At the end of the day, the log home was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a sunset on the lake. We made great memories this week. Thank you for sharing this beautiful log home with us.

We had a great stay at Christina's place. It was well equipped and furnished in a quiet setting. We even got to see a fox a few deer. We had a great time and I would highly reccomend Christina's place to anyone visiting Nova Scotia.
