Nestled between mountains and forests, at an altitude of 545 m, Gura Raului is idyllically located on the upper reaches of the Cibin with its imposing dam 73.5 m high. The village is located 20 km from Sibiu, the cultural and economic center of the region with a very interesting historic old town. Casa Florica, located in the heart of the village, is a 120-year-old wooden house that was restored/renovated between 2011-2017. The rooms are renovated and traditionally and authentically furnished.

Vă pun la dispoziție micul meu apartament de oaspeți pentru o ședere liniștită și relaxantă. Apartamentul este situat chiar în satul Gura Râului, un sat tradițional al Mărginimii Sibiului, pe o stradă liniștită. Este foarte aproape de orașul Sibiu (aprox. 15 km) cât și de alte sate tradiționale. Aflat la poalele Munților Cindel, Gura Râului este un loc deosebit pe care Lucian Blaga l-a numit "satul lui de suflet".
