Family-friendly vacation rentals in Podstražje

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! This is the nicest airbnb we have ever stayed in! We did not want to leave. We were amazed that Mirko came to pick us up from the ferry port and dropped us off when we checked out, too (saving us 2 taxi rides!). He and Zrinka were so responsive and provided great local recommendations. They provided plenty of towels, including beach towels, and had everything in the kitchen that I would have at home. The walk into town was a 15- minute beautiful stroll along the coastline. It was close enough to the city center to get there walking, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. There's a market right down the street that worked great for getting breakfast and lunch supplies. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Hvar!

This was the most beautiful place. The views were breathtaking and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. Edi was a great host and very accommodating. We fell in love with Hvar and if we ever came back, this is where I’d want to stay!

This is one little paradise. The house is located in a quiet part of the Basine near the town of Vrboska. The apartment has a beautiful view of the sea. During the day, you'll enjoy a courtyard full of flowers and the most beautiful color of the sea. And at night, you'll only hear the waves. This beauty can't be painted so you expect everything to be MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL than in the pictures.

This was one of our favourite stays in Croatia. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Spacious apartment, perfectly equipped, tastefully furnished and sparkling clean. Quietly located, with fantastic views of the sea. This accommodation is outstanding. Natali is a warm, helpful and reliable hostess. We hope that we can come back one day.

We recently stayed at Villa Blue Dream in Pisek, and it met all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality from Ivana and Joško, who were incredibly helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The villa itself is beautifully designed, with spacious rooms that are tastefully decorated and equipped with all modern amenities. One of the highlights was the stunning outdoor area. The infinity pool offered breathtaking views across the bay, and outdoor dining area was perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. There’s a hot tub and lots of lovely sitting areas to enjoy the view. Ivana and Joško were kind enough to share some of their lovely wine and olive oil in their amazing wine cave. The location is also ideal—close to local attractions yet tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Would recommend car as nearest restaurants are a decent walk (uphill on way back) Ivana recommended some great places to eat. It’s a gem.

We came to stay at Franos place for a week as we were getting married nearby. He was a great host and made the week great for us! Would recommend staying here :)

By far the best Airbnb stay I've ever had! Josipa and her father were kind enough to transfer us to and from the Hvar town to the apartment (apartment is on a steep hill with steps). Josipa was really friendly and shared us some of her favourite restaurants and things to do on the island. The apartment was beyond incredible, the rooms were perfectly air conditioned and she provided lots of useful amenities including beach towels, slippers and a washing machine. The view was beautiful, you can see the Pakleni islands very clearly and Vis in the background. The hot tub was easy to use and fantastic in the evening. There were also plenty of furniture including sunbeds. The location was brilliant, it was only a 15 minute walk to a nearby public beach and was fairly easy to walk up and down to town in the evening, although be cautious during midday as there isn't much shade. There is also a supermarket about 15 mins away a few streets down. Great for couples or up to four people!

This place is beautiful. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We saw the stars and heard owls at night. Has everything you need to make breakfast and do some basic cooking if you can be bothered, but there's lots of places to eat in the likes of Bol, with quite a few still open in the shoulder season. It is next to another kind of boutique hotel/airbnb thing but you're still afforded relative privacy from the terrace. Marijan gave us solid instructions on how to get there, but we still drove past the turn off so better to get there in daylight if you can. You will need a car. All in all such an amazing stay, the island of Brač has so much to offer, and this is a particularly idyllic spot. Thank you!

The apartment was spotless and communication before and during our stay excellent. The morning coffee and evening drink on the balcony overlooking the town and port was lovely. As we arrived earlier than check in it was nice being told to come and drop bags and sit by the pool. As it turned out the room was ready which was great. On our last day we were again offered the opportunity to check out late as our ferry was until the afternoon. Highly recommended

A fabulous apartment which was perfect for us. Having your own beach shared with the other apartments was perfect. About 25 minute walk into Hvar. We had a lovely time - we are at the nearby pizzaria where the food and views were amazing. We visited mlini beach by water taxi which was great. The hotel next door does lovely coffee. Our favourite bar Falkos was about a 10 minute walk. So many restaurants in Hvar it’s hard to choose. Shop nearby with all basics. Nira is a great host and very responsive. Would recommend this place if you want a relaxing beach stay just outside of the busy town.

It was already the second time we stayed at Eta's Apartment. That should answer all your questions. Eta is a great host, super responsive, the apartment is absolutely amazing, clean and spacious. The location is splendid. We'll be back. :)

Nice apartment, with a beautiful view (you really feel like you're on vacation). A beach is nearby, within walking distance and very nice for swimming with shady corners. A washing machine is also available.

My experience here was truly outstanding. Kreso and his family are exemplary Hosts - helpful, kind, accommodating. I cannot do justice to the beauty of the island and the tranquility found in writing, but I will miss it dearly. If you are looking for a place to unplug, and be a guest in nature, this is my first choice.

A truly idyllic place to unwind. We had a lovely week of swimming, kayaking and relaxing away from people (the property can only be accessed by boat so it is very peaceful and quiet). The host was very communicative - we can definitely recommend and would love to return to this unique property again!!

Lana was a fabulous host she responded quickly to my messages and had lots of restaurant recommendations, we also enjoyed the use of the bikes. The accommodation was stunning with a large pool area that was very private. The views from the apartment were beautiful looking up at the fort. The location was perfect it is only a short walk from the docks, restaurants and supermarket. If we were to come back to Hvar we would definitely be rebooking Villa Flora!

We were a group of 9 people. The location is fantastic. Very quiet and you can go directly from the villa to the sea. The house was very clean and looked as pictured. The kitchen in the house and also the outdoor kitchen were well equipped and had everything you need. We thought the grill and the pizza oven were great. The house is a bit out of the way. There are no restaurants nearby. However, there are plenty of shopping opportunities and they are easily accessible by car. The house is perfect for relaxing vacations.

We had the most wonderful stay at villa bella. The photos do not do it justice, it has the most breathtaking views. It’s so well priced seeing as it has the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The villa was completely spotless, spacious and so homely. We all really enjoyed our stay here. Filip is the most amazing host! I stayed with my grandparents, they arrived before me, Filip picked my grandparents up from the ferry and settled them in. He also went above and beyond, took them food shopping, helped them book taxis and the ferry back. He also met my husband and I at the ferry and helped us to a taxi. He was here early morning every morning to clean the pool. I was always asleep but my nan was normally up and she loved their little chats, she thinks he’s wonderful! He also brought croissants He is honestly so amazing and so kind and really goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect.

Petar is a great host. The Apartment is pretty and has everything you need. The whole surrounding ( like the pool, garden etc) is beautifully designed and you can relax totaly. The only thing I noticed was, that the walls are quite thin, but that is quite common from what I know 😄 Anyway, if I am back in Hvar, I would totaly come back. And a tip for future guests: Book a car in advance, you will need it - Suncity is great. They also bring the car to the port if you want.

The view from the apartment was absolutely incredible and we loved having access to the sea. Ana’s communication was also great. This really is a fantastic place to stay!

The apartment house is special, great location, architecturally really well done. Compliment, therefore also the price-performance level!!!! very classy!!! I was on the island almost 40 years ago, back then only camping. This time we only ate once!!!! There were reasons for that. Unfortunately! That doesn't apply to Nicola and his team. But the people in public. In the supermarket, at the gas station, at the kiosk, especially in the restaurants (everywhere in Croatia) the employees or the staff talked more with colleagues than with us. A subtle condescending ignorance towards us, or the customers. Mega bad mood and seemed very dissatisfied. I wasn't greeted anywhere. No friendly hello, no bye, nothing! WHAT A PITY!!! Not to mention the value for money in the restaurant. Therefore! Rent a house at Nicola's, quickly shop a lot and enjoy the apartment, nature and sea. Best regards, Johannes

I had a great stay at Tom’s villa! It’s in a beautiful setting with incredible views of the Adriatic and the mountains in the distance, with a sparkling pool and vineyards in between - stunning! Shops and restaurants nearby were open during the first few days of my stay but closed down in early October. Plenty of great restaurants in Jelsa though which was still walking distance from the villa (3km). Tom had wine, and other drinks in the fridge and snacks on the table prior to checking which was so appreciated and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking (spices, oils, etc). Don’t hesitate, if you’re looking for a great villa in a perfect setting, book Villa Tomic!

Very nice accommodation. Highly recommended! What is nice is that you can easily walk to the village where you have all kinds of restaurants, small supermarkets and a cozy little harbor. Highly recommended to rent a boat locally. 1 point for improvement is the limited cabinet space for your clothes. There were four of us and then 1 closet is a little bit. One tip is to order the food of the owner's mother. It's really delicious!
