We enjoyed our stay and found the house to fit our needs very well. Six adults and four 6 and under children. Everyone had space. The Owner was very responsive to any issues we encountered and genuinely interested in our comfort.

Across from the Springs | Access to Pool + Hot Tub

I had a lovely time and appreciated the access to the spa. The warm springs pools were nearby, and there were plenty of lovely vineyards, restaurants, hikes, and beautiful views. I can't think of a better location for enjoying Bath County.

1900 farmhouse with flair

KatherineRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We stayed here for a family vacation and had a wonderful time. The house is rambling in a wonderful, old-house sort of way. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly remodeled and gorgeous. The back yard is a big open flat space with a creek at the far end. We loved playing games in the yard, relaxing with chairs under the trees by the creek and chatting on the back deck that overlooks the yard. We were within walking distance of a small 'downtown' that had an art gallery, cafe and restaurant. The swimming ares of Lake Moomaw are either a 30 or 40 minute drive. One thing to note is that the driveway in and out of the house is quite steep and if your car sits lower to the ground, you will only be able to use the entrance closest to the Jefferson Baths.

Cardinal Cabin @Snowshoe/Hot Tub

The cabin was cozy, peaceful, private, clean, and close enough to Snowshoe that getting there and back was easy. I would definitely come back.

Perfect for our annual friend group ski trip to Snowshoe. Walking distance to the village lifts and easy access to shuttles for silver creek and top of the world. Heated flooring and fast heating was nice during the winter storm!

Après Ski Cabin, Mtn Getaway.

BlakeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Such a beautiful setting. The home was clean and not cluttered with trinkets. It was only a short 20 minute drive to snowshoe but the peacefulness of the location was really nice. Fields all around and lots of wildlife and horses was great to see. We arrived late and host had left lights on for us which was very kind. Host was also very workable when we had a booking issue. I did miss the part about the water having a sulfur smell but later saw it was listed in the description. A 5 gallon jug of filtered water for drinking would be a nice touch as we arrived too late to get to the store for water. Our only issue (and this seems to be a WVA thing as we have stayed other places that had them) is all the lady bugs trying to and finding ways to get inside. We loved the layout and our kids loved getting to have their own room on vacation!

Modern Marlinton Home w/ Hot Tub & Mtn Views!

DanielleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is magic. We absolutely loved our stay. We can't wait to return. The house has a perfect amount of natural light, open space, and comfort. The location is the kind of getaway that makes you forget all the nagging responsibilities of home and work. There is plenty to enjoy, wildlife right outside your window, beautiful hiking trails only a few min away, and all the basics to make a home cooked meal. Communication was fantastic and everything was exactly as described in the listing.

Sunset Cabin @ Snowshoe

MarissaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved staying in the cabin. Perfect amount of space for our large group to spread out. The huge mud room was so nice to get out of skis and snowy boots. The cold weather pushed tons of ladybugs inside and the kids had fun chasing all of them. The shuttle pick up at the door was awesome with small kids. There were TONS of extra supplies and amenities.

Very cozy and clean. Awesome that she allowed dogs as not many places do on the mountain. Short walk to the slopes and not a far walk to the village either of course there is a shuttle stop at the front of the neighborhood too. Definitely recommend and will be back the next time I visit snowshoe

Cranberry Mountain Lodge

WendiRating, 5 stars16 months ago
This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

The Wilson House, a charming vacation home

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great old house with interesting historical structures out back. The view is beautiful. Comfortable living room and kitchen works well for cooking. Dining room was great for meals and board games. With two full bathrooms and four bedrooms, we had more than enough space for 4 adults. The wind was howling at night but earplugs help cut down the noise. Check out the weather before your trip, this is at a high elevation and can be windy and colder than you might expect in march. We went into McDowell and Monterey for the Maple Festival. Got the trout at Highs restaurant. Oh, also really enjoyed the walking trail behind the house. Highly likely we’d like to return some time, thank you!

What a great place to get away. Staying here felt like we were the only people around for miles, secluded and quiet. Getting to the house is a fun adventure up a gravel road with some twist and turns through the scenic area. The house was perfect for our family, stocked with everything we needed, a big hot tub and a creek nearby for the kids to explore. There also seemed to be a number of trails that surrounded the property, which we didn't explore very far this time. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend anyone interested not to hesitate on choosing this place.
