Great place and a lovely host!

This is home away from home for us. The personal thoughtful touches to the place is everything. I always look forward to the good nights rest at any of Elzettes cottages because of the comfortable beds and fresh linen! The cottage is stocked with anything you could have possibly forgotten to pack. Anything from Emergency kit, spices, insect repellent, shampoo, washing machine pods to wood provided for the hot tubs.We are also really greatful for accommodating our baby. A comfortable cot was set up for him with soft linen! Not forgotting our favorite part, the complementary fresh cows milk, baked bread and butter! thank you once again :)

What a beautiful setting being surrounded by orchads and the mountains. Great place to go to just switch off , relax and enjoy nature. Esti was a fantastic host and really accommodating.

Place was charming, with a warm welcome from Teri. Extra touches in the house - homemade cottage cheese, olives and crackers were delicious. Great local restaurant recommendations, included booking one for us on a busy long weekend. Very grateful. Super stay.

The view. It was stunning!! Horses walking past early in evening, a little pond for the dogs to swim in, lovely walks in the evening 🌟 It was lovely and peaceful! Just a warning- one of the far away neighbours has a dog that’s seems pretty aggressive, if you’re taking a doggo, just beware of that one! But that’s no reflection on how amazing the accommodation was! I’ll be back!!!

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

Our stay at Pale Chanting Cottage was truly exceptional. The location was perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting. We especially loved the charming Victorian bath, the inviting stoop, and the incredible big fire hot tub, which added a special touch to our experience. The hosts were warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The two small bar restaurants on the property were delightful, providing excellent food and ambiance. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend this gem to others.
