Canyon Guest Villa ....we are self catering...

Andre and Erna were phenomenal hosts. They were present, responsive, helpful, and positive. Andre came each night to help us feed the resident bush babies and Erna had a full breakfast in the fridge and on the counter for us our first morning in the canyon. Our arrival was delayed due to weather and Andre stayed up to ensure we had a smooth entry. They had treats for the kids by their beds and put thoughtful consideration into each guest's stay. The photos of the villa look cool but NOTHING could have prepared us for the view from the front eating patio nor the careful attention to detail in decorating and landscaping of the house. 100/100 recommend!

Amazing Stay at Olifants River Bush Hideaway! We had an incredible stay at Oli's place. The location is absolutely stunning, right on the Olifants River. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped, and the views were breathtaking. Oli was a fantastic host, very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to relax and unwind in nature. Highly recommend!

I rated the house a 5 star because its worth it. I however do not appreciate the R2500 security deposit that you have to pay in advance. It not a lot of money, it is the principle. In all my travels and being in the tourism industry for 35 years I never had to do it. You have no control in what they will deduct. I was forever worried about things they might find to penalize me instead of just relaxing and enjoying the stay. Then on top of that, they take their sweet time to pay you back, only the first Thursday after you have left. If you look past the security deposit, the house is well worth it.

Private Bush House with Beautiful River Views

The camp is something very special with its location on the river. It is absolutely quiet and peaceful and you can hear the sound of the river, and can experience the wonderful birdlife from the balcony and relax wonderfully. Riaan was the perfect contact person for all our concerns and looked after us very satisfactorily. We were provided with everything, especially as we were also fed at all times in the in-house restaurant, which was very lekker. The Games Drive on the Olifants River was something very special and beautiful and we consider ourselves lucky, that we were able to see some of the Big 5, thanks to our great guides. We really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to you all. :)

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place and such wonderful hosts. The cabin is well equipped for a self catering stay, we had a braai and fire every evening. Frans and Louis were so genuinely kind and friendly, always going out of their way to help us. Being able to walk out of the property and be in nature, giraffes, zebra and impala just there and to be able to play in the river was amazing. My daughter (nearly 8 years old) didn't want to leave and wants to return!!!

This property is beautifully situated on a working citrus farm with clear views of the surrounding mountains: this is all topped off by a gorgeous symphony of birds that greet you in the morning. The staff were very friendly and gave us some useful information on the surrounding amenities and activities. There is also a restaurant on the property, where we had breakfast and enjoyed the natural surrounds. The farmhouse is situated within short driving distance of the many activities and interesting sites that Hoedspruit has on offer. Our overall stay was lovely.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this location - I did not want to leave! From the beautiful wilderness directly behind the house, to the animals roaming through the garden, topped off with the outdoor evening/morning showers - you will feel right at heart with the African feel. Loved every minute of my stay!
