We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Its location in the forest created an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the housekeeper was a true gem — always nearby and ready to help, yet absolutely unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi, but even that helped us disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily come back again!

Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

A beautiful house with a spectacular view. Upul is an artist who has spent many years of his life in Denmark. His house shows his mix of Sri Lankan and Europe: large windows and open breezy spaces mixed with traditional building. We felt so comfortable and relaxed in such an interesting and well-designed space. We drank our morning coffee watching the sun come up over the hills. A wonderful memory. Thank you, Upul, for such a nice memory of Kandy.

Sampath's place was the perfect starting point for our Sri Lanka trip. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, and everything we needed was taken care of. My family, including my kid and parents, loved it there. The caretakers, were incredibly friendly and great hosts. The food she cooked for us was also really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

We felt very comfortable from the first minute we felt very comfortable from the first minute in this comfortable, large and tastefully furnished house. It is located at the end of a quiet side street with a great view across the valley and river to the mountains. Sakunthala greeted us super nicely and went above and beyond to make us feel well received. She is also a good cook who served us the best food. Also the homeowners Aude and Ariyam, whom we were able to get to know later, are very nice and were always eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing we regret is that we only booked for three days and then had to travel on. We'd love to come again. Thank you for everything! Katharina

It is really amazing relaxing place far from noisy road. The room with full-length windows is amazing! View of the jungle and rice field. Also the room was clean and all we need was there. Pool is nice! The host Sakula is very attentive and caring! You can contact him with any questions. He is also interesting person to talk with. His family and staff are very kind too! So we felt like home! I would like to recommend Sakula’s place everybody!

Grand Hills is a fitting name for a villa with amazing views of the surrounding hills and Kandy area. Don's team at the villa were helpful and (especially Mr Chaminda); we were given local recommendations and they were very responsive to any requests or questions. The villa is a good size - our extended family had plenty of space and most rooms have a private balcony. The children enjoyed watching the monkeys on the roof in the morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and we were able to walk to the neighbouring resort for lunch and dinner. Pool was pristine.

We had a great time! The villa is beautiful, very well maintained, and its location is ideal for discovering the surroundings. The staff is incredibly kind, always available and helpful. The only thing to improve is the pool: multiple tiles are sharp, which can be dangerous. It might be a good idea to empty it to redo the seals and replace the defective tiles. Other than that, everything was perfect. We'll be happy to go back!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. The hospitality was heartwarming, making us feel at home instantly. The bungalow's atmosphere was filled with positive energy, perfectly complemented by lush greenery, including a charming indoor garden that added a unique, tranquil touch. Privacy was guaranteed once we stepped inside. The peaceful environment allowed us to truly unwind and reconnect with ourselves. On top of that, the meals prepared by the caretaker (as per our request) were delicious — a culinary delight that we happily compensated for. This lovely, lively space gave us a wealth of beautiful memories, and we’re already looking forward to returning next year. If you’re looking for a serene, private, and rejuvenating holiday experience, Victoria Nest Bungalow is an excellent choice.

We Absolutely loved our stay at the drummers abode!! The house was exactly as described, with a beautiful antique touch that added so much character. It was fully furnished and equipped with all the basic amenities, making it a comfortable and convenient stay. The hosts were always available on texts and was very helpful..Highly recommend!!

We have rented the accommodation on very short notice for a group of 10 and we’re super happy with our stay. Adi was one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. He was always around when we needed him and super helpful in all our needs. He created such a beautiful place to stay and served delicious food even late in the night! The accommodation is very pretty, quiet and everything you need is provided. We would always come backen and can definitely recommend to stay there when in Kandy.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

Found the place just as described in the listing. Designed like a castle, it provided us with a unique experience which the kids enjoyed a lot. Found some of the sections (Pub, Library) very interesting. The staff was very accommodating and acted promptly to our requests. They had provided us with multiple options for our meals and even customized the food basis our tastes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I wish we could have had more time to explore the property further.
