Vacation rentals with lake access in Pepin County

Wow….what a beautiful place. Everyone commented how nice and ‘hygge’ everything felt. We were 3 adults with 4 teens and the place was just perfect. Definitely a perfect 10. We’re already planning a return visit.

This is my favorite places I’ve stayed for a vacation. It was beautiful and peaceful. You can tell the host cares about the house feeling like a home. It everything you needed with clear labels and directions. Everything from the bathrooms, to the appliances, to the bedding was high quality. I felt like I was staying at a luxurious resort, but instead I had an entire private house! The hot tub was very easy to use and private. I would love to stay here again!

We enjoyed our five nights at Pepin Marina Retreat. The marina is directly across the street; it was enjoyable to sit on the porch that had a swing and two rocking chairs. The views of the lake and bluffs were aesthetically pleasing. Walkable to restaurants and libations. The Loft apartment was tastefully decorated, with a well-appointed kitchen. The bed was very comfortable for us. We will return to Marya’s Pepin Marina Retreat, and we hope you will love your time there as much as we did.

We loved the layout of the house and the view of Lake Pepin at sunset. We had just the right amount of rooms and space for my son’s families and myself. The fireplaces were an added benefit which we truly enjoyed. Although we came down with the flu we all enjoyed the time spent there together. Thank you Sandy and Eric for sharing your house with us. It is a very special place.

This is a very cute little space above a bar, over looking the water. We had a group of friends in town for an event and had a great time. The rooms were spacious, very clean, just what we needed. You can hear the music from the bar but that was made very clear at the time of booking, we expected it and actually enjoyed it!

Kathy and Dave were very hospitable and friendly. We met personally with them and "hit it off" right away. They wanted to make sure that everything was going well for us or if they could do anything more. We'll be back again!! p.s. The trains didn't bother us at all. I lived near a railroad track while growing up so it brought back fond memories!

We really enjoyed our stay. The space was bright (just like in the photos) and comfortable and had more than enough room for our family of 4. The views of the river and birdwatching right out the front windows made it really special-- bald eagles and migrating ducks were usually in view. There is a lot of great hiking in the area; we hoped to try canoeing in the nearby sloughs but the local outfitter doesn't start renting until early May. Matthew & Amy were really easy to communicate with. We could only stay 2 nights but would have liked to stay longer.

Overall it was a great stay! We knew this prior to arrival, but it’s worth noting that the level where you enter the residence has a good amount of steps in order to reach the main living area. We were in Lake City for a wedding so that meant armful’s of things up and back down the stairs. Just be careful! House was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The view of the lake from the residence was a bonus!

My only criticism would be no Kleenex. Otherwise everything was perfect
