A natural landscape is depicted with large, gray rocks surrounding a calm, shallow body of water. Lush green trees frame the scene, which is bathed in sunlight, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The water reflects the surrounding vegetation.

In the village of San Francesco - house in the center

LucíaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful house in the heart of Villa Santa Maria! Maria always responded very quickly and attentively! The house is beautiful and has everything you need to spend a few days in a natural environment and disconnected from the chaos. The only thing I would have liked to know is that there are several stairs to get to the property, since it is not only in the historic center but also the house is on a high floor, so I recommend moving with a light bag. (The ad says there are stairs, but I didn't think there were so many. It was also my responsibility to ask.) I would definitely go back if I'm in Chietti!

La Meridiana House in Roccascalegna

JennyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely stay! House taken care of down to the smallest detail with love. Andrea and Serafina are simply exquisite. Impeccable availability from the host who, due to bad weather, also made us enter the house earlier than the agreed time. Everything spectacular: great location to visit the villages and natural sites of the area, fantastic mountain views, quiet of yesteryear, a wonderful garden with barbecue for summer evenings. Delicious welcome also for our little dog with a bowl at the entrance and fully fenced garden. What can I say, we'll be back soon, we left our hearts there. We recommend it to anyone who wants to reconnect with nature and themselves by walking through the enchanted villages and sleeping with the chirping of the night birds that lull you to sleep.

Casa Giulietta, dogs heaven

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We received a warm welcome upon arrival at the beautiful Casa Giulietta. Jeroen and Els introduced us to their lovely rescue dogs and gave a full tour of the property. Included on arrival, as well as tea, coffee etc. was a hamper full of pasta, sauce and fresh bread. The fridge also stocked with various drinks, wine, fresh salami, jam and butter etc, very generous and plenty to get you started! There were toys for our child to play with and a trampoline in the enclosed garden. The mountain views are incredible and so is the peace and quiet! Amenities and some lovely towns within a 10/15 minute drive. Jeroen and Els are so accommodating and we would stay again for future visits. Thank you!

Cozy and quiet villa with swimming pool

ClaudiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Paul's place is a true gem. There is a big yard that is extremely well taken care of, with lots of beautiful and well thought of details. It has many different areas that you can spend time in, both spots for sun and spots for shade. It is truly amazing sitting there having a morning coffee with a view of a fabulous mountain top. We visited in early June, when the yard was flourishing. Paul had a kind man helping out with the yard and swimming pool, he visited every morning to clean the pool and his visits were mostly timed early, before us guests in the villa had woken up to the new day. The villa's interior was great too, it was super clean and all the interior details was of great quality and condition. Rooms were spacious, all bathrooms good and there was a bathroom in each room, which was very convenient for a group of 8 people. We would warmly recommend this villa, it was even better than we could have expected. The hosts are very kind and helpful, we felt welcome. Thank you!
A brown goat is seen grazing on lush green grass, set against a backdrop of rolling hills and mountains. The landscape features vibrant autumn foliage, showcasing shades of orange and yellow under clear blue skies.

iL Monte Farmhouse

JulieRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Marta & Rafal's farmhouse is a peaceful spot set in the mountains of Abruzzo and we enjoyed it very much! Marta went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was quick to tell us about local hikes, fresh water pools, and favorite beach spots. Marta also took us on a foraging hike and I'm so glad we did it! She is so knowledgeable about the area and all that is has to offer - she packed us a homemade (and delicious!) lunch to have on a hill top looking out to the mountains and the Adriatic Sea. We thank you both so much for your generosity and hospitality! ❤️

Typical Italian country house in southern Italy.

MaxRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is quite secluded in the mountains and is an absolute dream. The view of the mountains after getting up and in the evening of an overwhelming starry sky are fantastic. The house has everything you need to spend relaxing days as a couple or with four people. A beautiful terrace area with small and large tables, comfortable chairs, umbrella and grill, including additional toilet, In the house in the lower area a kitchen-living room with gas stove and pellet stove. Upstairs two bedrooms and the living area incl. Bathroom, with good Wi-Fi and large TV. The entire house is new, very well maintained and tastefully restored. Jonas responds extremely quickly, super nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable and would certainly have stayed longer if our travel plans had allowed it. You are about 40 minutes away from the coast with the Trabocchi, which are worth a trip/food. There are numerous great hiking opportunities in the area (mountainous!). Unrestricted recommendation!!

Apricot House

AndrewRating, 5 stars11 months ago
We had a very relaxing stay in a beautiful home in the peaceful little village of Roccascalegna. The home was even better in reality than the photos. We found the local townsfolk to be very friendly and loved the local restaurants as well, especially Civico20 and the Corvo. Would definitely love to stay in Apricot House again.

Rosario by Interhome

DesmondRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The setting of the house is stunning, on a cliff, looking up to the ruined old village of Gessopalena. The house is accessed down a very steep but well-surfaced road from the village. It’s completely private (just one other house, unoccupied when we were there), and surrounded by birdsong and other wildlife in the forest all around. Lovely terrace, which is hot in the mornings, but nice and shady in the evenings. Great BBQ. Both the rear and side of the garden end in vertical cliffs. Lots of hot water for showers. The kitchen is small with no dishwasher and limited space for preparing or storing food. With a large fridge and freezer. Inside, the house is of modern, concrete construction, and is somewhat soulless, but the stunning outdoor setting makes up for this. Gessopalena is a thriving village with bars and restaurants. The house was a lovely place to stay and Rosario the host was helpful and kind. Extra cost of €5 per person for towels.
