We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain house. The views are amazing, and Berit did a great job giving very clear instructions on how to navigate the mountain on the way up. She made sure ahead of time that we had vehicles suitable for the drive which was very appreciated. She checked in with us throughout the weekend just to make sure there was nothing we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels/blankets available, and overall was just a wonderful stay. There is a winery, Chateau Morrisette, which was only about 15 minutes away that was really fun to visit, and Floyd is a very cute, friendly town. I would definitely stay here again. A very quiet place to stay away from the city. We stayed there for business since we had a weeks worth of work in town and we couldn't have asked for a better location. David was really responsive and helpful. He's an excellent host.

This was the perfect little spot for our weekend. Close to the Parkway and several places to eat from fancy to low key within a few minutes. This is an older home that made me feel like I was at grandmas. I kept waiting to find something wrong but in the end will be going back for sure.

Great place to hide away for a few days....quiet and private. Good location as far as getting to near towns of Floyd and Stuart. Comfortable house.

The place was just as described. There’s not much to do with teenagers. I would recommend getting groceries before you get there. We drove out to New River Trail park which was beautiful and about 45 minutes away. Not many restaurants nearby. WiFi was very spotty which is normal for the mountains. Would be a nice spot for adults wanting to unwind but not necessarily for teenagers who may get bored.

10/10! A beautiful, spacious country cottage surrounded by plenty of nature. Loved the set up of the house. Clean with clear signs of fine craftmanship and intention, making a cozy home feel. Spent lots of time exploring the area with my pup, hiking and visiting local shops. Would definitely recommend for those looking to get some quiet time and solitude amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains. The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

Nice, quiet location. Easy walk to downtown and the Floyd Country Store. Apartment had everything we needed in the bathroom and kitchen. Even spare toothbrushes and toothpaste! Would definitely stay here again.

The mill was a perfect place for us. We love history and the setting was beautiful. For such an old structure we found it to be warm,cozy, beautiful and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows were wonderful. We enjoyed taking our E bikes out even at 43*! Very scenic and little to no traffic on the road. Such a gem! Many thanks to the hosts for creating a lovely getaway and sharing it with the rest of us!

Excellent location. Beautifully redone with all amenities

We were in town to visit our daughter for the holidays. We had a wonderful stay. We were able to walk to local shops and restaurants. The space was cozy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen came in handy for our family tradition of baking and decorating holiday cookies.

The property was very clean and we were provided with great coffee from a local coffee shop. Located right downtown, there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a few miles away and a beautiful drive. We slept well since the property was very quiet overnight and the bed was extremely comfortable. The property owners responded very quickly to answer any questions during the reservation process. We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to our family and friends.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

Excellent place to stay at. Things are easy to get to and a straight shot to go shop and eat or go to the beach with a gorgeous balcony view. Condo was very clean and I could not complain.

This was a solo get away trip for me to get familiar with SML, where I had never been before. It was a perfect time of year to visit, the weather was ideal and it was not busy at the lake. The property was exactly as described, very comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities you could possibly want or need. Ben was very responsive, and personable, and checkin and out was easy. I never had any questions or issues or a needed to communicate with Ben because it was all very well detailed in the instructions however, I did ask for early checkin and he quickly let me know that I was welcome to checkin as soon as I arrived at SML. The view from the property was incredible, right on the water with the mountain in the background. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise and also using the patio lights at night and the Blackstone grill. I did not use the common amenities or being a boat however it was made easy to do so. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to be at SML.
