Family-friendly vacation rentals in Paredes de Coura

We would like to thank Architect Paulo Gomes for the sympathy and attention with which we were received in his magnificent villa in Monção, through the Airbnb platform. It was truly well spent days, in a fantastic space where there was nothing missing. The villa has excellent conditions, which exceeded our expectations, providing unique moments of comfort and leisure. As a constructive suggestion, and with all due respect, we believe it could be even more enjoyable if hosts made us slightly more at ease, avoiding going around the house while our group was present. Anyway, this is just a light recommendation, as everything else was just fantastic. We reiterate our thanks and congratulate us on the wonderful villa and hospitality.

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. Amazing space! Perfect for a few days of rest, surrounded by nature. It's exactly like the pictures. It's really worth spending a few days here. And we couldn't ask for a better hostess, super available and welcoming. We'll be back for sure!

My family and I stayed for nearly two weeks in Portugal, at 5 different AirBnBs. This was definitely the best. The property and views are beautiful, and the flat was very clean and well provisioned. But more than that, Daniel and the other co-hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend their place, especially for families looking to unwind a bit and who are interested in seeing aspects of Portugal outside of the more touristy, typical locations.

Antonio's house is an exceptional place to enjoy a quiet atmosphere, in the middle of nature in an original and open design house. Antonio was attentive at all times and gave us very good recommendations to enjoy the surrounding villages. The house is very close to beach areas and villages in a few minutes by car.

Relatively easy access (mountain roads), located in a small village 5 minutes' drive from a supermarket and cafes/pizzeria, stone house completely remodeled inside, equipped kitchen, well-decorated living room, a large balcony with a spectacular view and a very cool pool with ice-cold water.

On the positive side, the place lived up to its description. Fatima was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience better. There were enough parking spaces for three cars. On the negative side, the hot water reservoir wasn't sufficient for ten people to take showers. As a result, some of us had to take cold showers every day. Additionally, the location is situated on narrow roads, making it challenging to reach by car.

Perfect place for a quiet rural holiday. The house has a lot of charm mixing old with new. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in every night. It has a large, pretty garden with citrus trees. It is within easy distance of many historical towns as well as a national park. We did not meet Céu but she responded very quickly to any requests we had. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

everything perfect, very quiet village and in the middle of nature

Few words reflect how good our stay at Iris D'Arga was. João and Astrid are kind hosts who make you feel at home from an early age. The house is beautiful and well furnished and equipped, inspiring even. Pool is great for spending great summer afternoons. And Serra D'Arga, this one, is magnificent. For those who like trails, bicycles, waterfalls, fauna, etc., I recommend 200%. If you don't like any of this, the recommendation is the same because what's missing is things to do around Covas. In short, super recommended and we still came with a great memory of wood from such a wise workshop done with João.

The apartment is very quiet, at the same time you can quickly reach supermarkets, hiking areas and the highway. The whole apartment is very well equipped - especially the kitchen. Maria was a wonderful host and always easy to reach.

Paul and Elisabete were very welcoming and responsive. The small apartment was perfect for the few days we spent as a couple. The quinta is in an idyllic environment! Thank you

If you're looking for peace and serenity, go for it. Secluded at an altitude of 800m in unspoiled nature, you will have a breathtaking slideshow. You will see wild animals during your walks or 2 steps from your accommodation. 15 min from the Ponte de Lima, you will find everything you will need. Rosa and her husband are extremely kind and we had the opportunity to make us offer local specialties when we woke up. The accommodation is super well-equipped. A big thank you rosa for this great vacation. Small downside, access is not the simplest but with the habit it goes on its own. Celine Julien Lucie and Lena
