Wow what can I say this place was amazing. We stayed for 5 night and enjoyed every second of it. The accommodation worked well, we are a family of 4 and so used the two ground level rooms which had double beds, their own bathroom, AC and plenty of space. The communal areas were lovely and there was lots of seating and a great pool. Fehim and Naasir who work at the house were brilliant always making sure we didn't need anything, checking about food choices and helping to arrange transport when needed. The food was really good and we ate 11 amazing meals, cooked to preferences and discussed in advance. We chose to try Sri Lanka food and are so glad that we did, we tried so many amazing dishes and drinks. We booked safari's to Yala and Bundala in advance with Sabirah.

We had a great stay at Patricia's . The hut we stayed in was small but adequate for our family of five. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have a fridge to store some of the food that we brought onto the site. We all loved the site, especially the swimming pool and proximity to the beach. Patricia was very helpful with booking our safari and advising us when to go and for how long. She and her staff made us some delicious meals while we were there and made sure we felt well looked after. I'd recommend Patricia's place for anyone needing a place to stay whilst visiting the nearby national parks. Thank you Patricia and all at the Kirinda Beach house.

Lake Villa is a very private and relaxing environment. If you need a wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city this is a good spot. Extremely peaceful and calm environment with nature all around. We even had peacocks walk by in the garden. During our holiday this is the last place we stayed at and hands down the best food and service. We were looked after very well. Highly recommend 👌

We had an amazing stay here, the host is extremely responsive and friendly. Check in was smooth and welcoming especially during a horrendous thunderstorm. We were welcomed with towels to clean our faces and a lemon juice which was lovely. We booked our yala safari through the host which was INCREDIBLE! Cannot recommend booking through these enough, we were beyond lucky to see 2 leopards which was all down to our fantastic driver. Cabanas were spacious and clean, the bed was huge and so comfy. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we would definitely stay here again!

Saman’s place is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the surrounding scenic beauty. The small house is generously equipped and is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Saman is extremely communicative and helpful in arranging activities and transportation. The food offered at Saman’s was incredible, everything was home cooked, village-style Sri Lankan food. What a treat to have such authentic meals! Finally, the grounds and gardens are immaculate and border the bird sanctuary, which has an abundance of beautiful birds for viewing right from your front door.

Very nice property right by the ocean. We ordered a dinner for 6 people that was prepared at the house by the staff and it was very good. If there are a lot of waves it can be heard in the bedrooms at night, but other than that a very nice place and nice staff.

What a special place. We travelled with three young children and felt so at home here. It is one of the most beautiful patches of land I’ve ever seen in terms of wildlife and the immediate setting. It’s so wild and pretty and yet the staff keep everything pristine like the pool area etc. The food was wonderful too. The safari was excellent and even my 3.5 year old managed it and loved it! We booked a transfer onwards and the van was great with a really good baby seat for our 9 month old. We met Madu several times and he was so lovely, just a very special home environment but suitably high end enough too. Thank you Madu and Kristin!

This spot is a must-visit, especially if you're planning a safari at Yala National Park. The rates are incredibly reasonable, offering exceptional value for the experience it provides. It's a treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. We stayed just one night, as it was a stop on our way south and a convenient location for doing a safari in Yala National Park. The accommodation was clean and exactly like the photos, it matched the listing perfectly. The food we had there was also good. I read many reviews from people complaining about flies, insects, and animals, but I’d like to point out that this place is truly remote. If you’re looking for nature, all of this is naturally part of the experience. It’s not just about the landscapes. Much love for the dogs around the property even though the condition of one of them truly broke my heart. The guide for the safari was very friendly and pleasant. Thank you!
