Experience Japan from 200 years ago in a historic townhouse, 10 minutes from Kanazawa Station, in a traditionally preserved district Size 300 Long-term welcome

A rare opportunity to stay in a slice of history. Very well preserved historical home in an area relatively untouched by war or disaster for hundreds of years. Toku and his family were amazing, accomodating hosts and I truly felt at home here.

Entire private house with 3 Bedrooms

ChitoseRating, 5 stars16 months ago
It was very nice to have bread and drinks for breakfast, towels changed daily, and garbage collected. The room has gas heating as well as air conditioning, and it was warm even during the New Year holidays. There is no TV, but there is a large monitor and a computer, so it was enough with internet news and TVer. The first floor has a dining room, kitchen, and a large Japanese-style room. There is a Japanese-style room where one person can sleep comfortably. The second floor has a bedroom for two people. There seems to be a bedroom for three people on the third floor. It's a mattress type, so it's as easy to use as a bed. The Noto earthquake occurred during our stay. I evacuated to the mountainside because I didn't know the land at 5 meters above sea level. At that time, I was able to contact the owner immediately. It was also nice to order New Year's Eve dinner from the restaurant next door. (I think the reservation deadline is quite early) If you're going to cook, it's a good idea to bring some of your own food. We brought a portable IH stove, a sukiyaki pot, a pot to boil New Year's soba, an oven, a yakiniku plate, etc.

Private traditional house in Kaga / wifi / parking

I stayed for two nights with one friend and her dog. It was easy to find; the host included a photo of which streets to take to get to the house. The dog had to stay in the doma, but it was spacious and well maintained. We loved the unique charm the house held. 蒼大 was an excellent host who gave us lots of recommendations and was very responsive. The house was very spacious and clean. The tatami rooms were fantastic and well-kept. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful; very beautiful to walk around during the day. We went to 山中温泉 to hike the mountain trails and enjoy the public onsen; we even met a local lacquerware maker. We would love to stay again with a bigger group!

I stayed with my family of four with our small children for three nights. It is a 2-minute drive to a ranch with abundant nature and two cute horses run by the host, and you can pick wild vegetables in the spring. The kids were very happy to eat the young leaves of Japanese maples and persimmons as tempura. The host is very friendly and is very helpful with advice about your stay. It's clean and comfortable, and I definitely want to come back.

Arts and stay was a nice, clean place. The interior design was beautiful and you can tell a lot of thought went into it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to public transportation. The host was very nice to stay up and wait for our arrival, as well as very responsive.

The moss-colored earthen walls Japanese-style room

KatyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a beautiful place to stay in that retains The ancient Japanese that is beautifully renovated and has all the things that you need to make yourself comfortable. The host is beautiful and even helped us catch the bus on the last day. What’s lovely is it’s so close to one of the stops on the loop Bus for the Kanazawatourist bus such a beautiful atmosphere and lovely other guests all respectful of the shared areas. I’d recommend this place to everybody.
