Lovely remote location and a very traditional Japanese ethos with modern amenities.

Absolute stunning accomodation! Not only was the whole house (especially bathroom and kitchen) highly modern and usefully equipped, but everything had its charm and we instantly felt like being home :) We were even allowed to borrow two bikes for free! In retrospect we wished we would have stayed longer in Kōchi to enjoy our stay a bit more. ほんとにありがとうございます！^_^

This was a beautiful place, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Close to the 40th temple and a great spot for walking pilgrims. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our time at this AirBnb. It was cozy and peaceful and we slept like babies! The place has old school charm, and that rustic vibe, while remaining modern with all the amenities you need. We'd also highly recommend doing a BBQ and ordering the amazing set which comes with local produce (very farm to table!) and some of the best beef we've had during our trip (and we went to Kobe!). Shimanto beef was a real treat, and the ambience and atmosphere was really great too. Thanks for a great stay!

You can rent a large old house on the banks of the Shimanto River ^_^ It is run by a bright and lovely family.In the season, the cherry blossoms along the Shimanto River are in full bloom.Nearby, we enjoyed playing in the river such as rafting, watching the sunken bridges, hanging out for a walk, and eating at local shops.The bedroom, washroom, etc. have been beautifully renovated and you can have a pleasant stay.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There is a BBQ and a bonfire, and if you have ingredients, charcoal, and firewood, you can enjoy it very much. The kids arrived and seemed to love the swing, and they played with them all the time. There was also a hammock, so it was nice to be able to play without fighting. The starry sky at night was also beautiful and awesome.

This place was awesome and even though I was a solo traveller I used all the rooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to make simple meals (even proper knives) and the bathroom/ shower was spacious and clean. Ryoko was a terrific host. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful in every way. This was the best value place I think I have ever stayed in, across 3 countries. If you do not cope well with steep stairs (about 10, I think) then you won't like this place. My legs got a good workout using them. Great views from the top floor. Many thanks.

The stay at Eiko and Akira in Tsuno, Takaoka District, Shikoku Island, was simply wonderful. Even before our arrival, we had a good contact with Akira via email, and Akira provided us with excellent information regarding travel options on the way there. Upon arrival, we found a friendly and kind couple, and immediately felt at home. We were able to enjoy excellent breakfasts and a delicious dinner made by them, which greatly enriched our experiences of our trip to wonderful Japan, through direct contact with local Japanese residents. A huge thank you to Eiko and Akira for their warm and heartfelt hospitality. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience of staying in a beautiful rural area.

Masao hosts a house he built with his own hands. Very homely feel. Received us himself in the evening and showed us the whole house and its facilities. A lovely, large and well maintained courtyard with flowering greenery, a fish pond. Very quiet and rural setting. Shikoku Island is just wonderful and beautiful. Highly recommend to come If there is no car, it is difficult to reach, so it is recommended for those traveling with a car
