Fantastic home with beautiful and light spaces, plus an excellent outdoor area. Rauru was flexible, responsive and helpful which was really appreciated. We had a great time and would love to stay again!

Wonderful couple of days at the beach pod! Perfect location. Walkable distance to a well equipped Four Square, two wonderful cafes/restaurants open late, and just minutes from the beach! Lovely new pod with a gorgeous big, comfortable bed and an outdoor fireplace, BBq and outdoor bath. And dog friendly!! Great stay and would definitely recommend!! 😀

Stayed a two nights in this gorgeous, peaceful and safe house. Amazing interior just like the photos. Felt right at home. Wifi was great! Janet was exceptional with any questions we had before and after the booking. Her dog was adorable, welcoming us with a hello in his language, so cute. Thank you so much for letting us stay! Home away from home, much needed! Definitely, we'll be back!

Great hosts. Easy to have a conversation with and excellent communication. Very comfortable bed in a good sized bedroom. Great location. We walked to the beach for a swim each day. We are not “pet people” but the dog and cat are really easy to get along with. The cat was very friendly.

We loved our stay, lovely kiwi bach feel. And it was so close to the beach!, just a few steps! We loved the beach view from the window, and enjoyed walking along the beach to get to the nearby cafes. Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing beach break.

This house was excellent for our extended family gathering – the kids loved the table tennis room, the oldies loved the view, and we all loved the direct access to the beach. Thank you, Jill, – your communications were great, the house was spotless, the beds were super and the setting made this a gathering we will all remember, even though it was for Great Grandma’s funeral.

Susan is a great host, it’s been our third stay at her property and we loved it! She was very flexible in our check-in and waited for us until we arrived from the ferry before midnight! We greatly appreciated it! The place is very clean, spacious and private, too. We would like to come back and certainly can recommend her place!

Thank you, what a lovely and special family home, it made for a magical and relaxing xmas break. Beautiful deco home with bohemian vibes. A spacious garden area to play led to an ethereal private pathway to the beach which was dotted with wild flowers. Original deco elements retained in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with views. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

This place really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed. The hot tub and pool were much enjoyed. We were able to have a wonderful gathering with overseas family members and visits from our NZ children, plenty of space. We loved the beach. Simon was very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed the space the house provided, given we are a family of five. Nice laid back house, which was just what we wanted. Beach was safe and only a short walk away. We'd happily return, we really enjoyed our stay.

We love this place- it's our second stay there. It's everything we want in an airbnb- peaceful location, well-built, lots of light, well-furnished, generous and helpful host, little extra touches like milk, coffee, bread, and other treats, amenities and condiments to enhance a stay for overseas guests. It even has a chorus of resident tuis...

We had a great time at the Beach Pod - it was extremely clean and generously stocked with snacks and drinks! Being a 5 second walk to the beach was perfect and the bath amazing. Thanks so much for having us, we’ll be back soon!

The place is very beautiful,with aesthetics all over the house , you do not need to bring anything with you the house is fully equipped and luxurious. There are restaurants and supermarkets within a 15-minute drive.We will try again

Amazing place, so beautiful and peaceful. You wake up to the sound of the sea and the views and walks are fantastic. The place is beautifully decorated with a great bath and everything you'd possibly need. Elsie and Johan went above and beyond and couldn't have been kinder. Highly recommend.

Nice place to stay, close to the estuary with a great coffee shop close by. Short walk to the train station. Comfortable beds and a great heat pump. Well supplied place and Cathy is very friendly.

Christine and John are wonderful hosts and their beachfront accommodation is the perfect escape. Their apartment is lovely to be in and very well appointed - and the views of the ocean are fabulous. Great kitchen with everything you need, a good selection of breakfast supplies to get you started, spotlessly clean bathroom etc. My partner and I had a mini break for a couple of nights and it was just what we needed. Highly recommended and will be back in the future.
