A very peaceful spot close to the Arcadia Bluffs properties. There’s a great deck with a view of a meadow that was filled with deer and other wildlife. Clean space and nice kitchen. Super easy check-in and Michael provided some helpful local recommendations.

We loved staying here! The place was cozy and peaceful and we felt at home right away. The area was quiet with very few neighbors. Sarah thought of everything, including food/water bowls and treats for our pup! The highlight was the fully stocked kitchen - we cooked most meals during our stay and whenever we realized we forgot something, it seemed to magically appear in a kitchen drawer. We would love to return next time we take a trip to the area!

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin for our ice fishing weekend on Portage Lake. The usable wood fireplace was a very nice bonus during a very snowy stay.
The cottage exterior is presented at twilight, highlighting warm string lights along the porch railing. A wooden ramp leads to the entrance, while a trimmed lawn with rocks borders the gravel path. Nearby seating options are visible, adding to the inviting ambiance.

Lake view and close to everything

We stayed at Lisa's over a weekend in March 2025. Her place was lovely, incredibly clean, easy to access, and very cozy. Onekama is a small town and we were there for a celebration. We were walking distance from a gas station/grocery and The Blue Slipper, a neighborhood pub that had just re-opened. when we were there, there were many people ice fishing on Lake Portage. We were two couples staying together, and Lisa's place was perfect. There were two queen bedrooms at either end of the house, one attached to a half bath and one attached to a full bath, and the beds were comfortable. There was a cosy living room with comfortable couches. We were also able to bring our dog! Lisa was very responsive, kind, and friendly. We would stay here again!

We are so grateful to have been able to carve out a little time to reconnect and unwind - Fran's place was just what we needed! The house is located in an absolutely beautiful location - peace was felt all around from the moment you walked in the door. Fran was thoughtful enough to include so many extra items, from snacks, coffee AND coffee creamer to toiletries. If you forgot to pack something, chances are they are there for your use - it really made you feel like you were staying with someone who already knew you. Thank you for sharing your special slice of heaven with us!!

this was a classic Manistee county cottage vacation. it was exactly what we expected. cottage on the lake with a dock at about 2 and 1/2 ft of water, so we were able to park the boat. The cottage is in good condition, and all the neighbors are very nice.

Wonderful Waterfront Condo in Village Of Onekama

I had an absolutely amazing stay at James' place! The view of Portage Lake from the property was breathtaking, and the overall experience was top-notch. James and Lillian were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The attention to detail, the cozy atmosphere, and their warm hospitality truly made this trip unforgettable. I can't wait to return and enjoy another stay in this incredible Airbnb. Highly recommended!
