Winter season also great for golf players, as the Silver Cost has several different golf courts in the reagion. Óbidos is one of our favorite places in all of Portugal. We enjoy walking its old cobblestone streets up to the castle and talking to the locals or simply sitting and watching the late summer evening sunlight stream through Bougainvillea-laden houses while sipping a tasty ginjinha. I guess we are romantics at heart. :-)
