I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

The living is all open plan and leads beautifully on to a wrap around deck, where you can enjoy views over the town and out to sea. It is a walk down hill to the Thames highway and straight into town from there. Could take around half an hour or more depending on your fitness. Or just take a leisurely drive as parking is easy in Oamaru
