Perfect place to unwind. Absolutely everything and more was provided. You get a good insight into the Canadian way of life.

We deliberately chose a farm type environment that had horses to give our 9 year old daughters a different kind of experience. We were extremely pleasantly surprised by Laurel's equine program. Laurel went out of her way to show us around the farm, enlightened us with the very good work she is doing with her Equine Assisted Learning (ELA) program for local schools. We took part in a one hour session the next day and the girls loved it! Highly recommended as an essential stepping stone towards horse back riding! When I mentioned to Laurel that she has been modest in advertsing what she is doing, she said she prefers to undersell and overdeliver - and she sure did! What really impressed me was that she is running an excellent airbnb experience to help fund the EAL program to support kids who need support for a variety of reasons. The lodges are professionally decorated (vintage style) and are simply wonderful to stay in! So peaceful and so beautiful! A lovely host - we will be back!

Kim’s cabin is a beautiful home away from home, but in an idyllic, isolated wilderness. The house is clean, attractive and has everything you need. The location is gorgeous and quiet, and only minutes from some spirited hikes to lovely locations. Only a few minutes further and there are more hikes and pristine natural locations. If you want, within an hour you can be right in heart of the Rockies. I can’t recommend Kim’s place higher!

We had a great time staying in this place, this is what you need to escape from the bustle of the city and find peace. Fresh air, perfect wooden housing! We will definitely come back, for a longer time! Thank you guys!

Whit Goat cabin Perfect retreat and home base to explore the beautiful nature in the Nordegg area. All the rustic charm with great comfort amenities. It’s incredibly clean, organized and comfortable for a relaxing “getaway” Jodi and the folks at Expanse Cottages were great hosts! I’ll definitely be back!!

Claire and Michael's place was perfect for our group! It provided us with ample living, sleeping, and outdoor space to do a ton of different activities. The house is stocked with items you don't even know you'll need to make your stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodated early check in to allow us to decorate the space before the bride-to-be's arrival. Loved it!

Linda and Al were such kind and generous hosts and we loved our time at the cabin. It was so serene being surrounded by ginormous trees and mountains painting the landscapes right as you step out of the front door of the cabin. To make it even better, there was a pig, majestic horses and some incredibly friendly dogs that greeted us and protected us. Everyday, it was a nice surprise to have the dogs run up to us and try to play or get our attention. The cabin itself is very cozy and comfortable - it is perfect for two people and it heats up really well and gets toasty in the winter. The wood cabin, all the decorations, and even the dishes all perfectly matched the setting we were in and it was a lovely stay. We would love to be back!

My family had a wonderful break from the city. So beautiful & peaceful - everyone kind, helpful, discreet - just perfect! Look forward to trying out the tiny house suite for a "winter camping" break soon. Also, great homeopathic products (I love the headache salve) and canned goods (peach syrup just delightful).

We were looking for a relaxing spot for a family get together. Ceanna's cabin fit the bill perfectly. Log cabin with a beautiful interior and nice sized rooms is only beat by sitting on the deck looking down a beautiful, tranquil valley. A really nice relaxing weekend.

With such a large group (12 people)- this place was perfect! Huge sitting area and kitchen made it real easy for us to all be together. And the sleeping arrangements were very comfortable for such a large group. Only downsides were just the 9pm noise curfew for being outside by hot tub and spotty wifi here and there. But this location truly was perfect and central to all the national parks we wanted to visit. Plus getting to see the mamma bear and baby cubs on the mountain road heading to and from the Airbnb every day was an added bonus!! Derek was super responsive and directions were easy!! Would definitely recommend staying here again!!

Quiet and clean home in the country - about 20 min to Fort Saskatchewan and 10 min to Elk Island National Park. Large kitchen had all the utensils we needed (thanks for the creamer and bottled water, too). It was nice to have the BBQ and outdoor seating.

Me and my friends had a great weekend gateway at Dominque’s cabin. They have a lovely place with lots of friendly animals. Dominique was a responsive and very kind host. 10/10!

My third stay at Louise’s gorgeous place. Louise is always friendly and welcoming, and goes aboveboard to make me feel at home. I had the choice of a different bedroom this time, and found the bed to be so comfy, that I had the best night’s sleep of the whole 2 week trip! Just wish that I hadn’t been too tired to sit outside that evening, as I love to listen to the sounds of the nighttime critters. It’s lovely to stay in a place with a bath and a shower, and to have enough room in the lounge to pack both of my cases before I fly home. An added bonus this time was being invited to join Louise and her husband for coffee and home made cookies before I left for the airport. Thanks again for a great stay Louise. Hope to see you soon.

The schoolie is a quirky, unique and fantastic place to stay. The views from the decking are awesome, the bus itself has everything you need to be comfortable in the space. Communication with the host was friendly, informative and clear, and Robin went above and beyond helping with a potential lost wallet issue on arrival! Bonus points for the black bear coming to say hello first thing! Our young son loved staying in the bus and also all the animals on the farm. The only negative was he didn't want to leave when it was time to move on!

we enjoyed our stay in the little trapper cabin ❤️ the animals on the property were very charming and we especially enjoyed the outdoor bathtub that over looked the pasture. we also really enjoyed exploring the area. great little spot if your looks for some R&R! Thanks Crystal!

Our group enjoyed our second time staying at The Lodge. The Lodge had lots of space to hold our big group, was very well stocked, and has lots of amenities. We definitely recommend booking! Communication and dealing with the Host was smooth, and Rena made sure we had all that we needed for our stay. The location is also very nice as it is private, lots of nature, and a great view from the back patio.

A lovely place to stay, easy to find and close to red deer and sylvan lake. Wood stove with lots of dry wood is a nice touch on the frosty mornings.

This cabin was perfect for my event, the lakes nearby and hiking grounds lead for many activities within good driving distances . The wildlife was beautiful to see while enjoying a glass of wine on the large covered deck during sunset . It truly felt like home, so comfortable and cozy. The only sounds around were the wind in the trees, bears and deer wondering about the first and birds chirping away. This is exactly what you call ZEN!

We absolutely loved our stay at Dalyce’s guest house. She met us to make sure we could find the house, filled the fridge with snacks for our toddler, provided our dogs with everything they would need, gave us a tour of the property, set up everything that we would need for the night, brought us over food for breakfast and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. If you’re still searching for places to stay, just stop and book here. You will not regret staying at this peaceful oasis. Between the hot tub, acreage for everyone to relax on and other amenities, you’ll be feeling refreshed and at peace by the end of the trip. If we ever find ourselves in Alberta again, we will be going back to the guest house. If you book here, you’ll completely understand what I mean.

Shane was super friendly and communicated clearly. The place was really cute and wayyyy bigger than we thought! Also, the little welcome basket with treats, all the beautiful cookbooks, and other thoughtful touches made it a really great getaway. Thanks again!

The space was extremely peaceful, relaxing and absolutely stunning views. A great space to unwind and relax. The hosts were very accommodating and made it a great experience.

We had a great stay at Doug & Linda’s farmhouse. Very spacious home which easily accommodated our crew (5 adults, a toddler & a baby). Doug was very responsive & helpful. It was a relaxing stay with a beautiful view of surrounding mountains, perfect place to enjoy a coffee! I feel that the price was fair for our stay and would love to book in the future!
