The place was super clean and well stocked with spices and kitchen supplies . The location was great.Many restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The only downside was that the location is right by a train track which can be a disturbance for light sleepers. But to be fair most of the town consists of train tracks. Karl also provided earplugs too just in case. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would be lucky to go back.

Beautiful property and area was quiet. Place was close to multiple highways, which was very nice. Big perk to have a washer and dryer. Bedroom was very cozy. Would stay again and recommend.

We stay here often, and always find something new to appreciate. It's been a chilly spring, but thankfully, the wood stove kept us all cozy. Being up in the trees, we could hear so many unique birds! We usually cook, but found the local restaurants in Guilford to be quite good. I say it every time, but it's always the getaway my family needs with the right amount of nature to escape, without sacrificing too many creature comforts. It's our happy place!

Enchanted Cottage on the Marsh, walk to beach

I had a wonderful relaxing time in this charming, well-apportioned cottage. There is a beautiful view over the marsh to short beach and it’s a great spot to see local birds - herons, red-winged blackbirds, etc. A trolley line that’s been converted to a hiking trail runs through the marsh and makes for a great walk. Lots of other fun walks nearby. it’s very quiet and cozy but still just a quick 10 minute jaunt to New Haven The piano and turntable were neat features and the house was nicely maintained and decorated. You can tell the host is very attentive to detail and committed to keeping things pristine. He was also super friendly and responsive I would gladly return to this spot next time Im in the area and heartily recommend to anyone looking to relax and recharge

Quiet, clean place. Was there to just get rest and relax for 2 days, after a 7 week process of packing up my house and staging it to sell. It provided exactly that, and I was able to cook up a couple great recipes with a kitchen that had everything I needed to do so. I loved he had everything I needed to do so, and for a compact Kitchen area, it had what you need. Thanks George for your quick help when I reached out to get my own Roku on the TV.

Trail-side Haven Retreat! Pet friendly

This property is in New Haven, bordering North Haven. Easily accessible from the 91 or from SR15, but not near enough either road to hear traffic noise. This is a downstairs unit, and there are tenants above; you will hear some neighborly noise, but nothing out of the ordinary for a duplex, and much quieter than a hotel room. If you're familiar with the area, this home is walking distance from the large Medtronic facility and a close drive to the North Haven shopping area (Target, Cinemark). Property is well kept, and all linens and interior areas were clean. We appreciated the pet-friendly approach (minimal rugs on the floor), as well as the large (unfenced) yard for our dog. We had a few minor issues, to which the hosts were quick to respond and remedy. The kitchen has every feature or appliance you'd need for a short stay, and even included common spices, soap, paper towels, and kcups. Bathroom had ample towels for 2 people. Would be happy to stay here for future visits.

Looked just like the photos. Private space. Clean and tidy, had a few essentials including coffee! She was very responsive and gave East to follow directions for checking in. Provided great recommendations for nearby places. Location was exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my stay at this adorable apartment! It was spotless and had every amenity you could possibly need — they really thought of everything. The location was a dream! Right next-door is the cutest little coffee shop (I went every morning), and we found the most charming Asian market nearby that made us feel like we were transported straight to Tokyo — the food was incredible. One of my favorite parts? The peaceful Zen Garden in the back. It’s private, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing or snapping some great photos. We also saw bunnies and even deer during our stay — such a magical touch. The house itself was amazing — super comfortable, easy to settle into, and it worked perfectly with our crazy schedule and late hours. I truly can’t wait to come back to this area and specifically stay here again. It felt like a little hidden gem!
