Idyllic riverfront chalet in Magaliesburg mountain

Our small self-catering 5 sleeper thatched chalet fits in perfectly with nature. The chalet is totally off the grid and uses a limited solar inverter to charge and run your personal 220V devices. It is a small and compact chalet, but the setting makes it a wonderful place to rest for a weekend. There is a fully equipped kitchen, gas stove and a fridge/freezer. The downstairs bathroom has a bath, toilet and basin. Outside is an amazing bush-shower. The views from the upstairs deck are stunning.

Perfect for 2, the room has a luxurious queen-size bed with electric blanket and en-suite shower-only bathroom. The kitchen has all the amenities needed including an air fryer; 1 plate Indiction stove and microwave and the lounge, a TV with Wi-Fi and a desk to work at. The unit opens to a patio overlooking the garden and guests don't have to worry about loadshedding or water shortages. The place has solar and back up water. There is a gas heater for the cold winter nights.

Amazing room, very intimate. There isnt wifi but we didnt need it as there’s so much to do and we enjoyed each other’s company. Had a fire pit and braai area. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend. Had many restaurants and activities near by as well as a shopping center for groceries. Chameleon village is a must!

This is truly a piece of rustic heaven! The pictures don’t do this gem justice. I’ve stayed at many places and I believe this has been the best value for money. From the sturdy house, to the incredible view from the manicured lawn to the best milk I’ve ever tasted. I would literally book again just for that!!!

We had a wonderful holiday at Patrys Paradys. The chalets were very spacious with lots of beds ,beautiful wooden furniture and hand paintings by Ria. The garden is well kept and peaceful. We were provided with everything we needed including wood for fire and even got a home baked milktart from Ria. The chalets are well equipped and Ria's shop for everything else you may need, is close by. The chalets are also equipped with solar lights .Ria and Roelof are amazing hosts .They really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend their place to anyone.
