The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults. So spacious and comfortable which is needed for winter time. Loved the personal touches with the bottled water by the bed and bathroom amenities. Oh and the heated floors were amazing! Kitchen well stocked - the house had everything! We were close enough to walk to Old Town. And we got home so late from Aurora Lights tour and hungry so it’s nice the pizza place just next door was open until 3a. Great stay and highly recommend!

Delilah's house is next to the big lake, there are many water birds, the environment is very good, it takes less than five minutes to drive to downtown and old town, toiletries and kitchen supplies are fully equipped, recommended to stay

Stephan's aurora lodge is a unique and amazing place. It's away from town on a lake in the forest, completely private, and utterly silent at night. And yes, we did in fact see the aurora starting from the bedroom window! Stephan is a fabulous host. We were very concerned about the cold for our aurora viewing in March, but he answered a million questions before the trip, and also hooked us up with a great winter clothing rental for our outside viewing. He even went above and beyond to pick up and drop off our gear when there was a mixup with the rental place delivery, even though we didn't opt for the VIP package. When we had trouble finding the place (we're unused to snow, we couldn't tell we were looking right at the road, duh), he came into town to rescue us and lead us out there. He's also a font of local knowledge and history, and a really fun guy to talk to. The best decision we ever made was ditching the package tours and waiting for the aurora in Stephan's cozy living room.

Stay with Akwasi. Amazing one bedroom

I had an amazing and restful stay at Akwasis´place. It is a cozy bedroom situated right next to the bathroom. There is also access to a garden which Akwasi mowed right away for me to enjoy! I had to arrive by plane very early in the morning (1am) and he kindly waited for me to arrive and show me my room. A great place to stay at in Yellowknife :)
