Cottage vacation rentals in North Hero Island

This will now be our favorite place to stay. Cassandra and Jeremy thought of everything. The kitchen,bathrooms and every room had all the amenities that made it feel like home. We actually tried to think if anything was missing and we couldn’t think of anything. We enjoyed going into Lake Placid a few days but then also just chilled at the house since we didn’t want to leave. We can’t wait to come back again.

The space is beautiful and grounds are very nice! Beds are comfortable and kitchen is great for group cooking! A few maintenance items under way - Pool liner was ripped and needing repair but the pool was useable and beautiful.

We had such a great family stay at The Cozy Cottage. You can tell that the home was very well built and it was extremely comfortable for our family with kids. The wood stove is awesome and heats up the whole house with plentiful wood in the basement and instructions to use the stove. The house was very clean and well appointed. We spent 2 nights there while we skied Sugarbush and the location was great for us. I would definitely recommend this home and look forward to returning next year!

This place is so wonderful! Everything is provided for your comfort. Rayna was great in communicating an issue about one of the toilet is not working and offered a full refund if that would be a problem, which it was not at all. The location is great. Easy access to the lake for swimming or kayaking (kayak/canoe is available for use). It has a nice patio for sitting while enjoying the sunset view. This makes it to the list of favorite places to stay.

This place has everything you want from a cabin near Smugglers Notch. Spacious, beautiful views of the mountain, and just a 10 minute drive from skiing. Easy recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay on their ski trip or otherwise.

Perfect home base for a peaceful ADK getaway. Lots to do in close proximity to cottage. The place was great. Very quiet. Coffee on the deck overlooking the river was a great was to start every day, and a cold one by the fire was a great way to end each day. Would definitely stay again.

Linda was a fantastic host, and her home was even better than listed. The cabin was a good size for our family of four + dog; the 2 bed / 2 bath arrangement allowed for good privacy when needed. The fireplace was great for apres and winding down at night. Location is a nice mix of seclusion (off the Mountain Rd), but close to everything.

We loved staying at Greg & Karen's place! It is a lovely, recently built carriage house that is very homey and clean. Comfortable bed, good shower, and a well-equipped kitchen. The location beautiful and somewhat remote, but also not too far from Burlington. The carriage house has a window that looks right into where there are horse stalls for their three horses! Unfortunately, rainy weather prevented us from walking the beautiful grounds and visiting the horses up close. Greg and Karen were very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend a stay at Valley View Farm.

This house on Sterling Brook was amazing! All of the windows and deck overlooking the brook were wonderful for the stunning view. This is one of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve stayed in and would love to go back. Our only complaint is that we didn’t book it for long enough!

This cottage is lovely. The views are just amazing. Multiple angles and seating options allow guests to see the water, mountains, and enjoy priceless sunsets. There is outdoor space for dining and relaxing and a grill as well. The interior is beautiful, comfortable, spacious and functional with beautiful wood finishing and special touches like custom lighting and skylights. John was very helpful and friendly. Morgan is the perfect host, providing everything necessary to a magical stay in their remarkable cabin. I had complete privacy and quiet, but knew she was readily available if I had any questions or needs. The cabin itself is a wonder of architecture, with every detail carefully thought out and rendered. There are books galore and CDs, the slipper foot bathtub is amazing, and the back patio offers a peaceful view of trees and meadow. The property is dotted with wonderful sculptures by her husband, Alan. I watched the sun rise and set and walked down the very dark night road to look at the stars. The woods are my favorite place to be, and there was no shortage of local hiking trails. The general store just down the street is staffed by very friendly folks, and I bought a new favorite coffee mug made by a local artisan. In short, my stay was everything I hoped it would be, and I would highly recommend it.

Our stay at the Plattsburgh Cottage exceeded all our expectations! Such a wonderful cottage with so many places to relax and unwind with the unsurpassed view of the lake across the entire back of the house. The cottage was within close proximity of day trips to Vermont and Montreal - then back to the cottage for beautiful sunsets on the lake. Our host Jeff thought of everything to make the stay so enjoyable - everything that could be needed in the kitchen, great towels and linens, the best fire pit and beautiful landscaping all around the cottage. We also enjoyed walking to the marina nearby and enjoyed all the wildlife in the area, including the nightly parade of geese families across the lake. Thank-you for such a wonderful stay in this special place!

The cottage was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. My husband and son had a great stay at this rental for a weekend fishing trip. Desiree provided helpful, detailed instructions and communicated well before and after the trip. She responded quickly to questions which was greatly appreciated.

This cottage was the perfect place to have our mini moon for the weekend. Not only was the location absolutely stunning, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel special on our celebratory trip. The cottage was pristine, private, and close to a quaint downtown but also not too far from Burlington. Highly recommend!
