We had a wonderful vacation with our family and grandparents. The children enjoyed playing outside on the trampoline, boating, fishing and even paddle boarding in the sun. For the adults enough seating in and around the house to enjoy the silence, the birds and the beautiful surroundings out of the wind and in the sun. Beautiful hiking opportunities nearby and the sauna was nice with convenient showers directly adjacent. However, it is useful to know that the second bathroom is not present in the main house. This was no problem for us. Stefan was remotely quick and very helpful and friendly in contact. Our holiday started cold, but inside it was very cozy with the soapstone wood stove for which there was enough wood available. On the lake you can fish with the boat with anchor, useful to know that fishing up to a maximum of 60 meters from the side is quite possible. We enjoyed it.

Our stay at the house was absolutely perfect! The serene Swedish countryside setting is the ideal backdrop for this beautifully renovated home. Some of our favorite things regarding our stay was the well-equipped kitchen which made cooking a joy, the high-quality beds and furniture around the house and the peaceful outdoor spaces where we could relax and take in the stunning surroundings. The communication with the host was excellent—they were responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. This retreat is perfect for anyone seeking a tranquil escape. We can't recommend it enough and can’t wait to return for a longer stay next summer!

We spent almost two weeks in Alvasjö with a family of 8. The place is nothing less than magic. A lovely house, renovated just the way it should be, leaving the historic parts and gently adding modern needs. Sara and Ed were really helpful, always there when needed and very easy to contact. Excellent communication. The area is beautiful, went canoeing, rowing, fishing, mountainbiking, SUP, hiking, Sauna ob the lake, mushroom and blueberry picking. It was not „just another holiday“, it was more than what we all dreamed of when it comes to „holiday in Sweden“. Will certainly come back, a must go when you want to experience a comfortable and exciting holiday in the middle of wonderful swedish nature. Many many thanks for everything, Sara and Ed!

Such a beautiful spot and close to good walks and lakes. The hot tub and sauna were amazing. Kind and communicative host.

There were nine of us and there was plenty of room and sleeping options. There was everything needed to cook and there was a great barbecue. The house has become well warm, especially with the fireplace. Highly recommended for a holiday with several people. We had a fantastic time and thank you for the accommodation.

Staying in Solveig's small cabin was like staying in a whisper from nature itself. The house is so quiet and beautiful, surrounded by forest, birdsong and a silence that carries. And only some steps away — a mirrored lake, where the sky meets water in an eternal breath. The cottage is not only beautiful — it is magical. It has everything you need to rest, be, breathe. You don't have to worry about anything — just feel, and allow the stillness to carry you. Solveig's heat is noticeable in everything: in the details, in the silence, in the way the room rests around you. I will carry this location with me for a long time. A place where the heart can land. It was a wonderful stay! 🇸🇪🥰 Very nice house in a top lakeside location. The house is small and therefore very cozy and ideal for 2 people in summer! We could use the dock with loungers and table/chairs at any time. Recommendation: have breakfast at the bottom of the dock. 😍 The rowing boat was also offered to us. We had our sup with us and explored the lake this way. The lake view and the nature around it is beautiful! The occasional shooting from the military in the distance didn't bother us at all. Although the property is located in a residential area, it had an atmosphere like in a secluded location due to the direct location on the lake. We have been outside all day and felt very comfortable there. At the same time, you can walk to hiking excursions from the house. Magnus&Ulrika was quick to respond to questions. They were also very flexible for arrival and departure times. We highly recommend the house and Ulrika&Magnus as a host! 🥰
