We stayed here for one night while visiting Takachiho Gorge and we loved it! Such a cosy space, comfortable and clean. Keita was a great host! A quiet and peaceful place to stay.

The lodge is stunning! I really enjoyed my stay here, if you've got a car I highly recommend it. Victoria is a great host, always happy to help and very quick to respond.

Great and huge house! Ideally for groups and families

Our stay at this house in Takachiho was fantastic. The blend of traditional Japanese design with British accents was really beautiful and unique. Everywhere you looked, there were books, inviting you to curl up and lose yourself in a story. The view from the house was simply spectacular, offering a breathtaking backdrop to our tranquil escape. Our host, Victoria, was incredibly warm and welcoming. She even shared a special part of her life with us by showing us her temple, which was an amazing and memorable experience. Victoria also thoughtfully provided snacks for us, which was a nice touch. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend this place. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, already looking forward to our next visit. This isn't just a rental; it's a peaceful sanctuary with a wonderful host.

We wanted a peaceful stay in the forest and it was all of that. Even though it was raining we were able to sit outside undercover and listen to the birds, the river and the tranquil sounds of the rain. The house had everything we needed. Tomo san was a great host and made sure we had all that we needed and was very quick to respond to all communication. He was willing to help in any way. We loved our stay. SD, Lani and Dexter

Pristine area in the mountains. The elders around were very hospitable. Great place to getaway from cities, and stopover for driving trip.
