Cottage-Brown-;2-story log house

This private cottage is in Gokase Town, which is located in the middle of Kyushu. You can enjoy nature and spend a relaxing time while being along the national highway line, which is convenient for transportation. This guesthouse that my father renovated it that was originally a warehouse. Although it has a calm atmosphere, it is also an exciting space like a secret base. You can use the wood kitchen stove during the winter. Watching the shimmering flames warms your body and soul.

You will have exclusive use of this Lodge. No other guests. We have built a luxury lodge with irori and log stove. Enjoy a beautiful architectural space decorated with a fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian style. Take in views from the balcony, or curl up on the sofa in front of the log stove. The Lodge is decorated with local artisans work. Soak in the ambience of 444 years at our Buddhist temple. Surrounded by stunning scenery you can explore Mt Aso area and Takachiho.

Discount: 2 days 5%, 3 → 10%, 4 → 15%, 1 week → 20% Aso Volcano, Shirakawa spring source, Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine, Takachiho gorge and beautiful landscape of mountains inside the caldera. Car is suggested but can rent Electrically Assisted Bicycles at the station. Great food from vegetarian to local red beef & traditional barbecue in charcoal fire. Closest 3 minutes walk. Suggest to stay 3 days.

Cottage-Red-; 1BR

This is a private cottage located in Gokase Town, located in the middle of Kyushu. It was designed and built by my father, a log builder, and opened in September 2024. It's reserved for private use, so you can spend your time at your leisure. A wood stove is also available for use during the winter. In summer, you can enjoy picking blueberries in the guesthouse's area.

This house is situated in a location convenient to the mythological shrine of Takachihojinja (2 minutes by car, 10 minutes on foot) The entire quaint, old 6LDK house will be there just for your group. It has recently started running (spring 2024)and is in the spiritual town of Takachiho, where gods are believed to exist providing lots of spiritual energy.
