Mohamed was a very nice and caring host, allowing us to check in late at night and making us breakfast, on request, even on the day of check out. The room is located on the ground floor, so it is very comfortable with suitcases, and has a private bathroom. It is small but clean and equipped with every comfort: fridge, hairdryer, hot water in the bathroom, kettle for making tea. We are satisfied with our stay at Mohamed's and recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Belle Epoque. Our apartment was truly exceptional — spacious, beautifully designed, and full of character. The villa itself is a unique boutique property nestled in the quiet and atmospheric district of Maadi, which gave our stay a relaxed and refined feel. Breakfasts were excellent, with the option to dine inside the elegant dining room or outside by the pool — a perfect start to the day. Speaking of pools, there are two on the property, and our children were absolutely delighted. The staff were outstanding: kind, helpful, and wonderfully discreet. A peaceful oasis in Cairo — we would gladly return.

A charming hotel of yesteryear at the bottom of a peaceful cul-de-sac. An oasis of greenery and plants with beautiful flowers. Stunning views of the Nile and Luxor Temple on the highest terrace. A hearty, local breakfast. A very pleasant swimming pool during hot weather. Shaded corners under lemon trees. Adorable , discreet and efficient staff! I loved the mosquito nets that protect the beds. Fans and air conditioning are a must in August. The hotel enjoys an exceptional situation: not far from the ferry to cross (you arrive directly at the Museum when you get off the ferry, Karnak is on the left , Luxor and the souk on the right) , Hamada Market is just a stone's throw away as well as an agency to book the hot air balloon. Nearby you will find a multitude of restaurants and take away... You can even find donkeys to take a walk in the surrounding countryside! But if you want to eat at the hotel, you can...

The place was amazing, very peaceful, and incredibly beautiful. Our room was really comfortable, spacious and clean with an incredible view. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure you’re having a great time. Very friendly people and make sure you try their fresh watermelon juice. Don’t think twice if you wanna book a room in this unique hotel, highly recommended! By far the most magical place to stay in Aswan.

Bassam assist us a lot, arrange the west and East bank guided tour, hot air ballon, camel ride and all the transportation. We took a sunset walk through the farm land nearby as well. Very nice experience

I stayed twice at the Swiss Wellness before and after a liveaboard, everything was perfect in both occasions. everyone is super nice and available for the different requests I had, I had a very late check-in at 4am and a very early check-out at 2am, and there was always somebody at reception waiting for me, I ordered snacks and dinner at the restaurant and food was really good, I also had a massage at the spa and it was great. Fouad is also very responsive and available for different questions and requests. Overall a very good couple of stays, I will definitely go back if in the area. Thank you!

We are so happy we chose Youssefs place ! Everything was amazing. Exactly like in the photos. He was very responsive and very flexible with our very early flight and very late departure. The host is very nice and friendly. The accommodation is also clean, and all the facilities are excellent. The host helps you when the guest has a problem, so please use it a lot.

Nice location in an old city. Small comfortable room, everything worked. Typically not high noise insulation..but there is nothing you can do about it. It was quiet during quiet hours. I recommend it.

Staying at Ahmed's was simply amazing. It worked exactly as I imagine an Airbnb should - Ahmed chatted with us about local customs, culture, and interesting facts. He gave us plenty of great tips on where to go and was always there to help. The airline canceled our flights back, and Ahmed took care of rebooking our tickets for us! Everything was clean, the room had a beautiful view of the reservoir, the Temple of the Goddess Isis, and the boats. Thank you!

It was very clean, all the people on site went out of their way with us. And we prepare breakfast in the morning with a lot of effort. (It is recommended to ask for really Egyptian breakfast) Of course it was also great to wake up in the morning with the view of the pyramids and end with the same on the roof terrace in the evening. If you don't mind that the hostel is on the top floor of a normal residential building, it's a great recommendation for a cheap stay with really accommodating people.

Desert Moon is a special place. A great location with view with the pyramids, they will make you feel like home, genuine care and so helpful in everything. Dr Mohamed the owner arrange everything for me, since the pick up from the airport to every single experience in Cairo and Luxor, really a great man. The experience that I got, honestly, I will take it for a life. Thank you 🙏🏻

Very clean place and Ahmed was very helpful all the time. It’s in a very strategic point and cost vs what you get is really incredible!

lovely location with near by beach. Property is very good as shown in photos. friendly staffs. We checked in to residency and it was well managed. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils and other items. All in all it as a comfortable stay.

I would definitely recommend Mahmoud hostel. The pyramids views from our room balcony and roof top where we have our breakfast was breathtaking. He did an amazing job in our giza and Cairo tour. He picked us up in the train station, helped us on buy the stuff we need during the duration of our travel ( adapter, food and even printing our train tickets) and accompanied us throughout our tour in the city. His friend Paulo is very knowledgeable in Egypt history and architecture. They really go out of the way to entertain us in our request. We wouldn't have make it our schedule train ride to aswan without Mahmoud’s fast driving skills and paulo’s navigation.😂. Thank you so much guys. 😁😁

I had a wonderful time at Khadijah's place. She wasn't there to meet me but she communicated with me very well. Ahmed met me and was very welcoming. The place is super stylish and comfortable with beautiful Arabic furniture and decor. I had my own comfy bedroom and a private little balcony space as well as my own bathroom. I slept very well. Although there is no direct view of the pyramids they are just around the corner. Nearby is also a vibrant street that sold the best koshari- I went back there twice in one day! Ahmed is really keen to make you feel comfortable and will assist with anything. The accomodation also organised a tour with an excellent and knowledgeable guide Aziz who took me to Saqqara, Memphis and the Pyramids. It was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for an affordable and memorable experience!

This is the best host I've ever met, he handled everything for us, helped us buy Abu Simba light show at night and lead us in, tell us the best viewing location and time, give us free snacks and water and freshly made breakfast, he communicated everything with our driver in Arabic, the perfect itinerary at night and day was all made by this homestay boss.

We stayed for a cozy weekend and had a great time. The host was able to accommodate our requests, which was nice of him. Nice room, rooftop, and backyard space.
