Chris and Debbie had a wonderful home! The hot tub was amazing. The property is beautiful. The ease to get to New River Gorge and all the close by scenery was amazing! Clean and they thought of EVERYTHING!

I traveled to Summersville to stay with my fiancé and his teens for a peaceful retreat. This place was perfect! The hot tub was a highlight—we used it often. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome, like a snack basket on the counter and quirky bathroom canisters that made the kids laugh. We brought extra supplies just in case but didn’t need them—everything was well-stocked, even with quality toilet paper. There were tons of board games, and we had a great time playing “guess that smell.” The kids loved the video games too. The only small downside was the uncomfortable mattresses—the master bed could use a topper. We also couldn’t get the fan or fireplace to work, but it didn’t affect our stay. Overall, we had an amazing time and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend this spot!

We had a great stay on our first trip to New River Gorge. We loved the serenity of the area and the hot tub. We cooked multiple meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and good restaurants and breweries were a short drive away. Kim left us some goodies which was very gracious. The bed was comfortable and the space was perfect. The location was great - a quick drive to the bridge, hiking, and Fayetteville. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to NRG.

The cottage was quaint and secluded, yet very we'll located near lots of outdoor activities. we loved how peaceful it was. it seemed to have everything we needed. comfy bed and furniture, great swim spa, and a functional kitchen! Will definitely stay here again to experience some warmer weather, as a cold front came thru just in time for our visit. haha.

The house is stunning, so clean and everything was fresh and new looking. Wonderful stay and will be returning.

We visited for my birthday and Easter! We had a wonderful time exploring and then relaxing back at the cabin. We had Smores on the fire and an Easter egg hunt in the big open yard ! Perfect for a weekend for our family of 4! We had a wonderful time highly recommend !

The location and place was beautiful, clean, and well decorated. The hosts were very responsive if I had a problem or could not locate an amenity. I would highly recommend if someone wanted to stay in the area!

Our family had a great time at Darien’s cabin. We were about 10-15 minutes from some great hiking, the gorge bridge, and great restaurants in the cute town of Fayetteville. My kids got to watch snow falling one morning on the front porch and we listened to the frogs every time it rained. The hot tub was heavenly! Thank you so much for having us and for all of the effort that you put into making our stay comfy, peaceful, and special.

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

This house was gorgeous!! The hot tub was incredible, we loved the privacy and the views were beautiful! We were able to walk from the backyard right onto a trail that had an awesome view of the gorge! The house was even nicer than the pictures look and everything was very clean and comfy!

The house was nice and looked like the pictures. I think it had not been stayed in for a little bit before our check in as it had a little musty smell , but we opened the windows and it cleared out quickly. Myla was very responsive with the couple of requests we had during our stay The property is nice, but small backyard as most of the space is in the front. The driveway was as described - definitely a hill :) The closest town is Summersville which has everything you need for a week away. Nothing that Myla could prevent but there are dogs at the corner who bark ALOT! Just a heads up in case you bring a dog who barks when they hear other dogs barking.

Great location - close to AOTG and the bridge but still felt quiet and private. The hot tub was PERFECT after a day of rafting and ziplining, and the NRG hot tub towels were a nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked with gear and utensils for preparing meals. Playing cornhole by the firepit was super fun. Saymon was responsive and friendly. 10/10… would recommend and hope to stay again!

The cabin is very cozy and clean! Our pup loved the backyard!

Great experience staying at the Papaw’s Cozy Cabin. Kristi was a very responsive host and everything went smoothly.
