We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. This is one of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Situated on the coast of some of New Zealand’s best beaches, the property has easy walking access to a small private beach or enjoy Matapouri which is only a very short drive away. The property has every thoughtful amenity you may need which was so helpful if you want to bbq and eat at home. It’s fitted out to a super high standard with comfortable beds, linen and a great shower. It’s immaculately clean, nestled in stunning surroundings. Our host Angela continuously went above and beyond to offer the most outstanding service including fresh tomatoes from the garden and baked birthday muffins for my friend who was celebrating. If that wasn’t enough Angela offers massage therapy from her home which was reasonably priced and out of this world. A truly relaxing place, gorgeous quality and phenomenal host, I hope I can return to enjoy again!

This is a great place to stay for a group / or family as a base to explore Mangawhai and surrounds. Is clean, tidy, good parking and has everything you need. Comfortable beds and has been renovated in a lovely beachy simple vibe allowing you to relax and enjoy the private location. Had everything we needed and would stay again.

Kim was a great host! My wife and I came on our honeymoon and Kim gave great suggestions of things to do and see in town. Calling the space an oasis is the perfect description, it was a beautiful spot on our honeymoon and the hospitality was greatly appreciated.

Apartment was modern and clean. Well laid-out for two couples. Two bedrooms separated by the living space. Bathrooms and showers for each. Great views over the Bay of Islands from the unit and the yard. Host is super-friendly without imposing. Checked in with us each day when we arrived back. Asked if we needed anything. Greatly appreciated the coffee and coffee press. Needed this until we could get into town for supplies. Highly recommend.

What an oasis! Camilla’s place is so gorgeous - the perfect place to relax. It is thoughtfully decorated with such nice touches. The homemade muesli! So kind! Camilla provided great instructions on how to find the place that were much appreciated. Her recommendation list in the space was also so helpful - we loved Terra Restaurant and the Tipsy Oyster! We can’t wait for our next visit!

Antje's place is a real gem. It is ideally located for exploring the Bay of Islands and is super comfortable. Antje is a wonderful host, with many local recommedations. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Highly recommended!

The house was perfect for the five of us. It has lots of space, the hosts were very generous with the condiments and the space was light, comfortable and really clean and tidy. The wi fi was also brilliant!. While the house is nice and peaceful it is a short drive to the shops and about 10 minutes from the beach. We didn’t find this a problem and Leone and Mark were awesome to deal with.

Absolute beachfront at "Waimiro"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waimiro. The apartment is spacious, well-planned and equipped - also modern and spotless with the most stunning sea views. It was a joy to immerse ourselves into this peaceful location from the deck, be it on the relaxing lounger or with drinks at the table. Jane provided an expansive and useful welcome pack including visitor recommendations. We really enjoyed our day walking along the beach into Paihia, taking the foot ferry to Russell, climbing to the outlook at Flagstaff Hill, swimming at Long Beach - winding up with a fish and chip finale on the beach back at Paihia! Last but not least, Jane is the perfect host; welcoming, interesting, warm and helpful. Our sincere thanks to her and Dave. Our one regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Great host and very good communication, we felt warmly welcomed. The view from the deck and the rooms was beautiful. The place was spacious enough for our small family. The place is cosy, fully equipped and has everything you need. Cafe and Fish and Chips are just down the road. Beautiful surroundings, with plenty to do. We would definitely recommend.

Francine’s house is located at a quiet residential area,five minutes drive to restaurants and shops. the rooms and bathrooms are specious, the deck is overlooking at a beautiful view of the forests very relaxing.Thank you Francie for your prompt response and the late check out. Francie we had a good time at your home however the stairs at the entry were challenging for my husband as he had difficulty going up and down the stairs, not suitable for people with disabilities. I should have checked that out .Highly recommend if the stairs are not an issue.
