Vacation rentals in Newton County

This was the perfect location close to home to escape from all of the hustle and bustle. This tiny home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and QUIET! We visited to celebrate our anniversary and were greeted with rose petals on the bed and “mocktails” waiting, such a sweet gesture! The amenities were great, hot tub was clean, and the back patio was the perfect spot to cook up some delicious food on the blackstone! Definitely recommend Neon Moon to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Five stars just isn’t enough! We loved everything about the cabin and its surroundings. The kids loved the tank, the pond, the animals, the swings and the kayaks. The cabin is thoughtfully furnished which makes relaxing so easy. The whole place is so serene. I’d recommend it to everyone!

Perfect if you need a place to stay for a hunting or fishing trip. Exactly what we needed!

The cabin was adorable, and just the right size. We were fortunate after talking to Megan that we could bring our doggy along. He is crate trained and the doggy bags were a plus for easy cleanup. We did have issues with service and at one point wifi was out (it was storming) so we played games and cooked. Plenty of towels, good coffee in the AM and laundry was a huge bonus. The cabin had room for our atvs and trailers and was the perfect escape from the crowd at Sabine atv park. Thank you Megan! We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful cabin! really loved it. We went for my wife's birthday and it was a nice quiet place. it was just the two of us and the space was perfect. all the amenities were fantastic. thank you guys!!

Overall was a good experience! We stayed for 3 nights over NYE and enjoyed staying in a place that was dog friendly and had a hot tub. We wanted something that was a bit secluded and quiet and this fit those requirements. Just note that the nearest food options are 30+ min away in Jasper, TX. A few helpful tips for future guests - the kitchen is very tiny and not very conducive to cooking full meals. The list of what’s available (air fryer, hot plate, silverware, tongs, etc) was accurate. I would just be prepared to cook as many meals as you can on the Blackstone griddle or BBQ grill (both outside) to make life easier. Our only (minor) inconvenience was the amount of decor that created a bit of clutter and reduced the amount of usable storage and surfaces in an already small space. I would suggest that the hosts reduce the number of duplicate items in the kitchen and create some cabinet space. I would also free up some space on the desk, counter and table.

It’s not my first time to stay at one of Megan’s cabins and as always, I was well served. The place was clean and well stocked. Everything worked well except the WiFi which is a problem in the area. Phone service is bad in the area as well. Not Megan’s fault.
