Family-friendly vacation rentals in Newington

We enjoyed spending New Year’s Eve at Liza’s place. It was very comfortable and the fireplace and roof top deck were added features. Liza was very responsive to our questions, and we really felt as though we were at a home away from home. Great location!

Peaceful location and just the right size. We enjoyed our time sitting on the porch reading, eating and just rocking in the large rocking wooden rocking chairs while chatting. We watched the ducks and geese on the lake. In the evenings, we could see the turtles stick their heads out of the water. Although there was lots to do, we only took advantage of the pools. If you are someone who wants to be doing something and planning activities to keep little ones busy, you have lots of options at the resort where this cabin is located.

Eric was an excellent host. He was very responsive to inquiries from the beginning of our reservations to after the time had lapsed. He was very accessible. The property was as advertised and we very much enjoyed the surprisingly quiet setting with good access to both the town and metro. The rental space was spotless and the grounds were very nice. The hot tub was a nice way to end a day of sight-seeing. Would definitely seek out his accommodations should we be doing anything in the D.C. area in the future.

Stayed here with two of my friends for a long weekend and we had a wonderful time! Room was incredibly clean and very spacious, with a lovely kichenette. Staff were amazing, amenities like the pool and hot tub were great, and overall a great experience. Janee was also super helpful, kind, and responsive!

Great location right across from Patterson Park. Brandon’s place was a prefect location from which we explored Canton and Felts Point. Comfy beds and lots of nice touches like having the light switches labeled, a magnifying mirror in the bath room and a guidebook. Great stay!

Great place, enjoyed the stay while attending a professional conference at nearby convention center.

Fantastic stay. Veronica was an excellent communicator from pre-booking to check-out. House was very nice, but the pool was exceptional. Home was as described. Thanks for a great weekend.

The house/pool was gorgeous and had plenty of space for our large family! My only regret was not booking it for few more days!

Absolutely loved stay at Miguel’s place! The neighborhood offered several delicious food options and the space was immaculate. It was a quick 15 min drive wherever we wanted to visit. This will definitely be on our list for our next trip to DC.

Monica and Traci were extremely thoughtful with details in their space and were always available (with quick responses). Parking was a huge asset! If we ever come back to Washington we would definitely stay here again!

Cari’s place was great, English basement so limited natural light but didn’t really matter since we were out and about all day and the place is very cosy and clean! Great location due to being close to the metro and Cari was a responsive and helpful host! Thank you Cari!

Such a lovely, comfortable home. Everything we needed. Loved the location. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and neighbors were friendly. There's a park with walking trails and lake half a mile walk away. The house was perfect. Relaxing. Comfortable beds and bedding. The record player was an added bonus, as were the puzzles and board games for the rainy days. Communication was excellent. Answered any questions quickly and was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a nice stay while in the area to visit my nephew at the Naval Academy. The basement apartment is very comfortable. Area is nice and quiet and my dog loved having a yard to run in.

Le logement était très bien mis, à part le fait que pour y accéder il faut monter deux escaliers ce qui n’est pas pratique quand vous êtes charger,et le manque de four aussi vraiment dommage, mais sinon dans le reste appartement ressemblant comme sur les photos,consignes de l’hôte claire et faciles à appliquer,hôte très réactif, A quelques pas du logement il y a un trader joe's pour effectuer quelques courses mais il n’y a pas énormément de choix,sinon il y a un CVS un peut plus loin,la ligne de métro Froggy Bottom a 5min à pied très pratique. Mis à part ses petits détails la ville est très interessante,culturellement parlant les musée accessible gratuitement,ville très propre,ville très good vibes je recommande ce logement ainsi que cette destination. Nous avons passer un excellent séjour 😇😇.

This place is excellent if visiting the area. There are many restaurants and walking paths all close by. The hosts provided lots of information about the surrounding area. I would highly recommend staying here, the hosts did an amazing job answering any questions with had and very timely in responding. This place was immaculate, extremely clean and well thought out with providing storage. The kitchenette was perfect for storing some things in the refrigerator and having a coffee maker available made the mornings easy, and the hosts provided some nice snacks too. The grounds of this home are beautiful and well maintained. A very peaceful setting in a wonderful town. Our stay was excellent and would definitely stay there again.

This place was great. Greg had clear communication and the apartment was very clean. The location is hard to beat here. The only place I went that wasn’t a quick walk and/or short metro ride away was the Nationals stadium. I had a family of five, and this was plenty of space. I would stay here again!

We were a three-generation family of 5 who had a truly great stay here. It was super clean and has character. We were happy for the coffee, ease of parking, and local places to go. Was so great to be in a lovely neighborhood that was a short drive to the National Mall. Nathan was helpful, friendly, and responsive. Kids loved the board games. We had such an amazing stay at the Woodland retreat. From the instructions to get in as well as the accommodations and even the recommendations Martha had given us, everything was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again if we should return to the area. We loved the privacy as well as the scenery. If you’re looking for a nice little getaway, that’s small private and comfortable. This is absolutely for you. Thank you both again for everything.
