The cottage was beautiful , comfortable and well supplied. Hosts were great . The back deck with hot tub, fire pit and grill is great with a view of the lake

Tracey’s place is magnificent and was the perfect spot for us to enjoy the area from. We enjoyed the nearby beach and ice cream spot, as well as Sherbrooke Village and more. The home has a well appointed kitchen and the shower is spacious. The 3 season screened in porch was a special place to spend time with friends and family.

This cottage is a gem, tucked away on a very peaceful lake in Guysborough County. The cottage is modern, bright and comfortable. The place is full of personal touches and there were a lot of supplies on hand, for example I forgot my toothbrush but there was a spare new one in a package in the bathroom closet. The hot tub was delightful and helped us relax and enjoy the scenery. The small town of Guysborough is not far away with a grocery store and decent cafe. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had an amazing one-month stay, the house's highlights are: Well-located residence for discovering Cape Breton Island and its surroundings. Very quiet place and away from neighbors, just across the marina. Beautiful residence, very clean, full of beautiful windows, comfortable and well air-conditioned Outdoor fire pit and pergolas were very much appreciated. All services and restaurants are less than a kilometer away Nature is very present all around the house (deer, foxes, squirrels, crabs, cormorants, herons, blue jay, kingfisher, etc.). Points to consider: No curtain in the master bedroom. No mosquito nets in any of the windows, so you'll have to choose between mosquitoes or air conditioning. Dining table for only 6 people seated (listed; maximum of 8 guests). Very poorly equipped kitchen Many bulbs are burned out indoors and outdoors and none A big thank you to our hosts for the stay!

Overall a great stay at a lovely cottage. Kristy was extremely responsive to questions during our stay. We had an early spring visit so the road in was a little messy, but that is no fault of the hosts/cottage. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I had a group of four families (with young children) stay at both the eagle and the sun house. The houses were very clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our group and even had multiple unused bedrooms. The view is spectacular from both houses - especially the sun house. The pictures don’t do it justice. There’s no air conditioning in the houses, but we were kept cool by opening the windows and using the many fans that were provided in the rooms. It was fine during our stay, but I could imagine the upstairs rooms may get stuffy if you happen to visit during a particularly warm period. There’s a walk down the hill to the beach on the lake, and the beach is rocky so don’t expect to bring young kids swimming. Even if you’re feeling adventurous you’ll need water shoes to get around. Overall a great experience and a good way for a large group to visit Cape Breton

It was the perfect location as we toured around Nova Scotia. Bed was comfy, and it was peaceful and quiet. Loved our stay!!

Amazing place, everything you need is there, the view is just amazing Matthew is a great host, visited him at the pub, good drinks and good food will be coming back for sure
